Jeongin: I-it was just in the h-heat of the moment, it didn't m-mean anything-
Seungmin: In the heat of the moment?! Innie, did you forget what he did to you? How could you be so childish-
I feel my face heat up in anger as Seungmin keeps talking.
Jeongin: Enough!
Seungmin looks at me in shock.
Seungmin: J-Jeongin what are you-
Jeongin: I've had enough, Minnie. It feels like your trying to control my life. I'm a grown man and I can do things on my own! I can decide what I want to do and you have no right to stop me!
Seungmin: Lower your tone, Yang Jeongin. You don't want to get on my bad side.
Jeongin: Or what? Huh? What are you going to-
Before I can finish my sentence, Seungmin slaps me across the face.
I hold my cheek and look at him with teary eyes, shocked.
Seungmin's eyes are wide open and he seems just as shocked as I am.
Seungmin: I-Innie, I didn't mean to do that. I don't know what came-
Jeongin: Get out!
Seungmin: W-what?
Jeongin: I said get out of my house!
Seungmin: Innie, please don't do this, I'm really sorry-
Jeongin: You've really crossed your limits today. Get out and don't come back until you can justify your actions.
Seungmin: A-alright, but can I t-tell you one thing?
Jeongin: Say it quickly.
He takes a deep breath and looks at the ground, avoiding eye contact with me.
Seungmin: I-I love you...
What?!
Since when did he-
Seungmin: You don't need to say anything. I know you don't think of me that way. I just wanted to get it off my chest. I'm sorry for everything I've done, I'll go now.
He turns around and opens the door, walking out of the house.
I lean against the wall and my eyes start tearing up.
A knot forms in my stomach; guilt.
I was too harsh, I shouldn't have been so rude to him.
No matter what he's done, he was there for me in my darkest times.
I didn't even consider that and kicked him out of the house.
Suddenly, I hear small taps on my window.
I look outside and see that it's raining, feeling even more guilty that Seungmin doesn't even have an umbrella.
I want to go give him an umbrella, but I'm not ready to face him again.
Does this mean our friendship is over?
No, he's been my best friend for years.
He'll come back in a few days and everything will go back to normal.
Yeah...
Everything will go back to normal.
