Macie's POV

"So Jack was with this girl Maddie and they broke up over and over again because she kept cheating on him and used him for clout?"

"I mean if that's how you wanna put it then yeah."

"Why didn't anyone tell me?"

"The boys were basically sworn to secrecy by Jack but, I wasn't"

I laughed and then said

"Why didn't he tell me?"

"That's what I'm not sure of sweetie."

I got up and walked up to Jack

"Can we talk?"

His eyes widened and he nodded. We walked out to the backyard to talk and we sat down on the rocks.

"So I kinda know why you didn't say goodbye."

"Oh. Who told you?"

"Myta kinda explained it but, Jack I'm not gonna do what she did. I'm not gonna force you to be friends with me or even talk to me."

"I want to be friends with you, I'm just scared"

"I get that but Jack I really wanna be friends with you. Can we at least try?"

He nodded and I wrapped my arms around him and held on tight

"Thank you" I whispered

We broke the hug and just started talking. It was 5pm when we first walked outside and it's 2am now. Sarah had fallen asleep with Corbyn and I was gonna drive home.

"Macie I'm not letting you drive home."

"Jack I'm fine. I'm just a little tired"

"No macie give me your keys"

"Fine." I rolled my eyes

We walked up to his room and he handed me a hoodie of his and sweatpants.

"What's this for?"

"Macie you're wearing jeans and an off the shoulder shirt. That's not comfy. Just put on the hoodie and sweatpants."

"Fine." I smiled and blushed as I walked to his bathroom to change.

When I came back he wasn't in his room and a pillow and blanket of his were gone. I walked downstairs and saw him on the couch getting ready for bed.

"What are you doing?" I asked

"I'm gonna sleep on the couch. You can have my room for the night."

"No way! I'll take the couch, get upstairs."

"No!! Just take my bed."

"Fine if you won't take your bed then just come up and we can share."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah if you are"

He nodded and grabbed his stuff. We walked back upstairs and got comfortable.

I was laying in his chest and he had his arm around me.

As I was falling asleep, I heard him say

"Please wait for me."

I fell asleep with a smile on my face
