Part 6
The line for the Ferris Wheel was quick. You just went there but still managed to get inside a gondolla, fast.
As you made yourself comfortabele inside, you began to think of what you two should talk about the whole ride.
"Why do you like to ride this?" Kook said as soon as the large wheel moved.
"Hmm..." you shrugged, "I don't know. I just like the view here," and you proved it by not looking at him the whole time. You were too busy admiring the darkening sky.
"Do you love heights?" he asked.
"Not really. But when I'm in a Ferris Wheel, I don't get scared at all." You smiled and turned to look at him. You saw him staring at you, intently listening, absorbing every single word you said.
When your eyes met, you felt your heart pound faster and everything went in slow motion.
Jungkook's big, innocent eyes pulled you in... the ghost of a smile on his lips ruining your thoughts...
"You know, Y/N, I really, really like you," he suddenly said and you blinked your eyes fast as his voice dragged you back to reality.
"Huh?" You said, not really understanding what he said.
"I really, really like you. Ever since that day I saw you, I instantly fell for you. You're just not like any other girls..." Kook confessed and you sat there, speechless, not knowing what to say.
"I just thought you should know that," he continued. "So you'll know that I'm doing is real."
He smiled again, a shy but lovely smile, before turning to look out of the window.
You hadn't noticed that the ride was almost over. You just realized it when the Wheel made consecutive stops to change passengers.
"Jungkook," you said, trying to get his attention.
"Thank you. For re-assuring me," you said when he looked at you.
Jungkook just smiled at you.
When the door of your gondolla opened, Jungkook went out first, then helped you as you got out. He gently held your hand to steady you, and you were internally grateful because your legs were shaking, thanks to his sudden confession.
"Ah, the sky is already dark," he said as you walk around the park. "You know, I heard there are performers here at night. Do you want to see them?"
"Sure," you smiled. You were now stable again and thought that watching a performance might make you two more at ease with each other again.
You went to the open area of the park, and sure enough, a crowd had already gathered and there were musical instruments set up on the stage.
You didn't have to wait long for only after a few minutes, the musicians appeared and began to play.
The songs playing were all upbeat and sure enough, it eased the mood. You were both jumping and singing along with the singer.
"Stay here," Jungkook suddenly said and you nodded but before you could ask why, he was gone.
After a few minutes, the music suddenly stopped. And to your utter shock, Jungkook came on stage.
"Sorry to interrupt everyone, but I'd just like to sing a song for my date over there," he said pointing at me, and of course, everyone turned to look at me.
"What are you doing?" you mouthed and Jungkook just winked in return.
Then, a mellow music began to play. Jungkook's gentle voice filled the air and once again, you were captivated by him. As he sang that song about wanting someone and praying for her every night, you felt your heart fluttered.
Once he was done, all of you who watched him clapped. He bowed and thanked everyone before leaving the stage.
"How was it?" he asked once he reached you.
"Perfect," you smiled.
"Glad to hear that," Jungkook winked.
You ended the day like that. He wanted to accompany you home but you refused so he took you to the bus stop instead.
"Thanks for today," you told him, smiling.
"You're welcome," he replied.
You were about to enter the bus when Jungkook called you again.
"Yes?" you asked, looking at him.
Jungkook took two big steps towards you and kissed your forehead.
"Good night," he said.
Blushing furiously, you nodded and went inside the bus.
