There were many amazing sights and wonders to marvel at in Paris, but if Elizabeth had to choose her favorite place in the entire city, there was only one spot that came to mind.
That would be her bed.
She could tell that her kwami's felt the same way by the way they grumbled to her every moment that Chloe left them alone. Personally, this made Elizabeth a little annoyed. After all, Silver and Jumbe were the ones who had forced her to meet up with the honey blonde. All she wanted to do was sleep today, but no, she had to leave her bed at six in the morning so she could get ready and meet up with Chloe. They were the ones that told her to go; they had no right to complain.
However, despite her annoyance, Elizabeth was happy that she was finally getting a tour of Paris. (After all, it was somewhat vital to have considering the remarkable size of the city.) What was even better was the fact that Chloe was actually better at the job than Elizabeth had expected her to be. She knew her way around, that was for sure. In the past few hours she had taken Elizabeth all over town, showing the dirty blonde all of her favorite spots and handy shortcuts. On top of that, she also provided Elizabeth with important information as they toured the city.
For instance, when Chloe said, "the food here isn't terrible, but the cook is super ugly," it actually meant that the food there was pretty good.
One more example was, "This place is horrible, they tried to kick me out for absolutely no reason! But don't worry, I threatened to call my daddy on them, and then they were begging on their knees for my forgiveness!" Elizabeth knew that she was really saying that the mayor of Paris probably wasn't an ethical person when it came to his daughter. Given Chloe's attitude, Elizabeth also got the feeling that she threatened people with her father often.
As she said before: useful information.
Currently, the two were on the top of the Eiffel tower, overlooking the city. Elizabeth had to admit that the view did not disappoint. She could see most of the city from up here. She knew that she'd have to come up here again at night to truly take it all in. She bet it was quite the sight.
For now though, she was content with watching the people of Paris move around. From this height, they looked like little ants, which somehow only made it more entertaining. Elizabeth glanced at Chloe from the corner of her eye to see that she was just as enthralled with the view as Elizabeth had been. The thought made the corner of her lip turn up.
She turned her attention back to the city below, and managed to pick out the school where apparently both girls would be attending in a few days: Francoise Dupont High School.
Chloe had pointed it out to her on the way to the Eiffel tower. It was a big tan building, three stories tall with a blue cobblestone roof. Elizabeth didn't have much experience with school buildings, but she found the place to be impressive. She could only hope that the interior would be as nice.
Not that she would enjoy going to school or anything. She just figured that if she had to spend multiple hours of her day for months on end in one building, it can at least be a nice building.
She could only see the exterior when the two had walked by it earlier, but now that they were up high, Elizabeth could see that center of the school was... hallow? She didn't know what to think of that. It looked like one of those open-roofed theaters that people used in Shakespeare's time.
What the heck did they do when it rained? Snowed?
Suddenly the building didn't look so impressive anymore. She felt the same way as somebody who bit into a fluffy bun of bread only to realize that the inside had a giant bubble of air: disappointed and a little cheated.
