"Jumbe..." Elizabeth muttered lowly as she laid on her bed, refusing to open her eyes. Her entire body felt like lead, physically begging her for a couple more hours of sleep.

"What?" the red scorpion asked calmly.

"Is there a reason you're jumping up and down on my face?"

"Not particularly," he admitted. Despite being called out on his behavior, he continued to bounce on her forehead using his tail. He waited a moment before talking again. "Oh yeah, you have fifteen minutes before you're late to school."

That got her attention. "What?!" Elizabeth yelled, bolting up from her bed, accidentally sending Jumbe flying across the room, phasing through the wall. He came back a second later, completely fine but rather annoyed. Elizabeth ignored him, disappearing into her closet. She reemerged a moment later wearing a blue shirt and black jeans, with light gray sneakers. Her dirty blonde hair was tied back into it's usual ponytail, though it was much messier than normal. Of course, Jumbe's pin hidden in her hair and Silver's bracelet on her wrist. Overall, she was presentable, but Jumbe frowned at the dark circles underneath her eyes.

However, he decided not to mention it quite yet. "Why are you wearing Silver's colors? I'm the one who woke you up," Jumbe complained instead as he calmly watched Elizabeth stumble over to grab the miniature backpack, half-haphazardly swinging it over her shoulders, before slowly lifting up her school bag.

She didn't answer his question, but she did stop and search the room. Her eyebrows furrowed and she glanced back at Jumbe. "Speaking of Silver, where is she?"

"Downstairs in the kitchen," Jumbe informed her, "she got tired of waiting for food and decided to go get it herself. Don't worry, I told her to make sure that your grandparent's weren't home first," he added in when he saw the aghast look on Elizabeth's face. Now that Elizabeth was ready to go and wide awake, he slowly descended to the floor, staring up her as he went down. "I'm going to go join her. I'm starving." With that, he phased through the floor, leaving a confused and panicked Elizabeth behind.

When Jumbe reached the kitchen, everything was quiet. He stopped for a moment, slightly confused before the inside of the fridge opened and Silver floated out with the entire container of strawberries. He briefly wondered if he should confront her, but decided against it and went into the fridge himself. Honestly, if Jumbe had to pick a favorite invention of his from this century, the fridge was one of the top on the list, right behind the computer. It was crazy how people could just chill their food so they could keep it for so long.

He wondered around the refrigerator, browsing the food until he found a jar labeled 'peanut butter.' That was new. He wondered if it tasted as good as normal peanuts. Jumbe gabbed the much larger container and took it with him, placing the jar next to Silver. The magpie looked over to read the container, throwing Jumbe a confused look. "You're supposed to eat that with other things like bread or celery you know," she informed him.

Jumbe ignored her, floating over to the pantry and grabbing the bag of peanuts. "Silence. I'm experimenting." He opened the jar and dipped one of the peanuts in the jar. Silver stared, slowly scooting away from the psycho, taking the container of strawberries with her.

The Elizabeth came running down the stairs and straight into the kitchen, checking the clock. "Oh, no, eight minutes," she breathed out, rummaging around the cupboards before giving up, turning to the two kwamis instead. "Come on guys, we gotta go!"

Silver frowned. "Don't you want food? Eat some food!" she demanded, throwing a strawberry at Elizabeth. The blonde didn't even protest. It was reduced to nothing but a stem in two bites.
