The bell dismissed us I wore my puffy hair in a puffy ball I was cute today I wore my good jeans & a crop top with a pretty vest I had a college tour I looked preppy & classy. I spotted Tee but didn't see AAliyah I hated I was walking home today I sling my brown sling bag across my shoulders wishing Mari was here she always missed school I wouldn't be surprise if they say she want graduate. I nibble on my nails like any other nervous day I instantly placed my hand to the side leaving them sway with my american next top model walk i was confident today "what's up ma" tee said with a slight smirk. Out of nowhere butterflies start racing in my gut my mind was everywhere I couldn't talk I just gave a dry wave & hardly a stare I kept walking silently screaming inside FUCK!! FUCK!! FUCK!! I blew it.

After making my way to the stop sign which signal me to go left or right I went right heading home, Quickly glance to see tee & Aaliyah riding off I shook my head. Once I got home I knew it was the first of the month my mom was going to either not come home or come late we didn't have no food, no phone so I decided to walk to the nearest library to Facebook Mari I was about to stay at her house to get a free meal & comfortable bed.

I logged off & headed home. Once I arrived I saw my mom wasn't home which wasn't a surprise I grab my overnight bag & packed I also packed my flat irons & curlers I wanted to look cute tomorrow. *beep *beep *beep I pull the curtains back to see it was Mari. I cut all the lights off, wrote a small note to my mom letting her know my whereabouts & headed down the steps. "Hey Mari" I said while buckling my seat belt & placing my overnight bag in the back seat "hey Lai I want you to meet tee so were headed to Applebee's" my mouth dropped I just washed my hair so it was looking like chilli from TLC I had grey sweats & a big t with my black off brand uggs. No way I was dress for a restaurant I never eaten there noramally Mari & I would order a pizza or mickey D's after ovver thinking I spoke saying "I'm not dress, my hair wet, no!!! With a lip smack. "Cmon Lai plus it's just us... & he's paying please"...

"don't beg Mari begging is for dogs I'll go" we laugh & headed towards Applebee's.

After pulling into Applebee's parking lot I spotted tee camaro the only thought that cross my mind was him & that hoe was eaten I grab my hoddie from the backseat & signal Mari I was ready.

The waitress was a gay guy that was very dramatic "dinner for two" he said with one hand on his hip & the dinner menus in the other. "Nahh bruh they with me" Shawn interrupted. I was impress he was cute dark skin, tall, wavy hair, pearly whites he was cute. Giving Mari a thumbs up we both giggle & followed Shawn to the booth we was station.

"Shawn this is my best friend that I wouldn't trade for the world, LaiYa but you can call her Lai for short".

"What's up Lai I got a friend for you to meet since Mari said she was bringing a friend I brought one.

Giving Mari a hard stare I started nibbling on nails but quickly placed them in my pocket once I saw tee my mind was spending he was sitting laid back in the booth scrolling in his phone he didn't look up until Shawn spoke introducing Mari as his girl & myself as her friend.
