*Tee POV*

Leaving LaiYa house I decided to pick up Stacy & I wings to go after placing the to go order I text Stacy saying I'll be home shortly & I got food she replied saying Thanks. Turning into the parking lot which was 4blocks from LaiYa crib, laiyas number & name appeared on the front screen of my phone I was thinking I got her where I want just another easy hoe! "Uhh Tee are you there" I could hear LaiYa soft voice whisper through the phone with a pause and sniff between each word. "Yeah what's wrong you straight"? My heart dropped once I heard her cry even harder she couldn't say  nothing but " my...momma... She's gone!" I told her stay where she was at I was on my way I didn't know the situation so I called Shawn informing him to pull up to Lai house & get Mari to show him where she stays.

After arriving the front door was close I jumped out grabbed my glock 40 & went in, I was met by the puddle of blood & LaiYa puffy eyes & shivering body she was bitting on her nails saying "what do I suppose to do, who did this?" I grab her by her waist & let her cry in my arms. Once Shawn & Mari arrived seeing the harsh site Mari drop to her knees crying & screaming!!

"Ayy bruh what cha gone do" Shawn asked rubbing his hands down his face. I shrugged my shoulders saying let the cops take care of this, she need a funeral & her family we will keep our ears to the streets & knock off who did this. After the police came, took reports, cleaned up, & basically told us this was a dead end. Mari said she was taking LaiYa to Shawn condo with her while Shawn & I hit the streets & get clues.

-1week Later**

*LaiYa POV*

After taking in my moms death I had to contact all my family 7uncles & 4auntie plus their kids. My moms mom died after her last daughter & my moms dad was a who knows she had 11kids & 11differnt babydads! The furneal was the upcoming Saturday & here it is Friday. Tee & I had got close he's been staying with me over Shawn's. He payed the furneal expense & was remodeling my moms house for the family we've gotten new floors, new funtiure, bathroom redone, walkin kitchen, I've even gotten a new bedroom set & a high definition alarm. His mom & dad even pitch in to help, Tee's mom even been sending me religious text every morning I'll text her back letting her know that really made my day. My school was bringing a big dinner over tonight so I new I had to get prepared I rolled over with the fresh of good morning scent & tees body "wake up tee" I said shoving his back. I appreciated everything he done for me he even tried to find my moms killer but it was a dead end. "I'm up Lai" tee said while using the back of his right hand to whipe sleep from his eyes. We both got up did our morning duties & headed out the house. I've gotten caught up so much in this nightmare I'm living I haven't properly introduce myself to tee we haven't kissed I didn't even know if he was seeing someone not along have kids.

Walking towards the passenger side of tee car i got in buckle up & through my night bag over in the back seat lastnight was my last night over Shawn's. Once we arrived to my moms house memories started to rush my head & I started to nibble on my now freshly manicure nails "you straight" tee said looking at me & looking back at the house. Tee mom sent me a message saying WHEN TIMES GET HARD PRAY WHEN YOU FEEL LIKE YOU CAN'T MAKE IT PRAY. I text her back saying she was right on time I was just about to pass out. She told me shell be calling me in the next hour. Tee saw the smile appear on my face his mom sent him the same message so he new what I was smiling about.

The outside of the house was the exact same but when I open the door I felt I was somewhere else the hard brown dirty floors was now tan carpet with a brown sectional & 60 inch smart TV hanging from the wall. Glass tables pictures of me & my mom i loved it. My bedroom was all white with a queen size bed & walk-in bathroom, laying on my night stand was a sympathy card from tee & a givenchy cream color hang bag I open the purse & couldn't believe it 20 thousand dollars for a shopping spree my heart drop & tears started to appear tee was behind me pulling my waist & kissing my cheeks. "Uhh-tee what does this mean I can't take this you've done enough for me" I said with sttuers, whipping & sniffing. "Sure you can this only the beginning"  tee said with a smirk "so where this leave us where do we stand" I said hoping he says I'm now his girl this is when I need him the most "LaiYa ain't perfect for you but I'll try" he kissed me telling me Mari was on her way shortly for us to get something to wear to the furneal & he had business to handle.
