Once I saw those familiar red swim trunks I swam as fast I could away, which was fast because I am a swimmer, after I was swimming how I would like a human which wasn’t that fast, I got any idea. I saw in movies how mermaids place their hands forwards and shacked their bums, which moved their tale. I tried that and next thing I knew I was gliding through the water faster than light.
You could only see a glimpse of me for a half second. This shocked me. I swam for about a minute at this sped and decided to look how far away I was. I swam up and poked my head out of water; I couldn’t even see the land anymore.
I decided I needed to figure this out so I went back under and swam fast again, this time for about 4 minutes, I only stopped because i saw a whole in the underwater rocks, I swam deep down towards it and decided to swim inside it not even thinking about any dangers. When I swam into it I saw a light, I swam towards it and came up to see air.
It was like a pool, there was even some rock like stairs onto land. The area was enclosed by rock and there were about 10 feet of land to go on that surrounded the pool. I decided to claim this area as my mermaid land, I needed to think about this and control it.
I thought about ways to become human again and decided to test some ways out. I lifted my body up the stairs, using my arms for support and lay myself on the sand there that was surprisingly warm to my touch. I lay there and fell asleep.
I woke up not knowing how long I’d been asleep and looked down, my tail and shell/sportsbra thing were gone! I was not naked though, I got back on my teal and white bikini.
I saw up against the wall and started thinking.
When I touched frsh water in the shower this morning I didn’t turn mermaid.
When I touched salt water I did.
Luckily earlier I found a pen on the ocean floor and took it, I hate litter. So I wrote on my arm everything I knew so far.
1. Salt water makes you turn into Mermaid
2. Then when I flexed my fingers and arm out towards water it freezes it.
3. If I relax my fingers and slowly turn my hand it moves anything with water in it and moves water
Hmmm what else?... So I have the powers or freeze and moving… I’ve seen a show eher this girl scrunches up her fingers against her palms and it boils water and dries her tail..! OH!
4. Turn back to human when you dry your body from salt water
I scrunched my fingers to my palm and pushed my hand towards the water, it started heating up and boiling, I relanxed my fingers again and smiled. This can’t be happening!
5. Scrunch fingers to palm to make water boil
6. Put arms out straight above your head and shake your bum, moving your tale to move fast
Well that’s done! “Am I dreaming? Am I the only one like this?” I spoke out loud. Things just don’t make sense. I wonder what’s going on back with Tricity? Are they worried? I heard screams… Nawwww their fine… right? Right. What time is it? Hmmm
I stood up and turned around to face the wall, there was a whole in the wall! But it’s covered with glass to look out… has someone been here before? Perhaps more like me? Naww…
I got on my tip toes and looked through, I saw the ocean, just the ocean and it was darker than earlier. It was probably night now, way to dangerous to head back.
