I entered the station and went to the window to talk to the woman. “Hello can I speak with the officer working on Simon Mcwell’s case?”

“Yes ma’am what’s your name?” “I am… Vesi.” “Okay Vesi right this way!” the woman cheerfully said as she lead me down some halls and to a room, she opened the door and we stepped in. She left and closed the door behind her.

“Hello how may I help you two?”

“I am Vesi and I found the missing child by the name of Simon Mcwell.”

His face formed a huge grin and he grabbed the phone, dialed a number and then hung up. He instructed us to sit down, Simon was scared of him so he grabbed onto me for dear life, I stroked his hair soothingly as he ate a cheeseburger I got him before we came.

About 10 minutes past when a beautiful young couple burst through the doors. “Simon” the woman yelled, “Mommy!” he jumped from my lap and hugged the too as I laughed and smiled. “Thank you thank you thank you so much! How did you find him?! They searched a mile out to see for days!” his father exclaimed.

Simon ran back to my lap and sat down; I motioned for the couple to sit also so I could take longer. “Well I guess I solved to cases because I see me on the wall, but I will get to that later. I was at the beach with my friend and I LOVE! The water, I am hoping to go pro one day, I have one every match I’ve been to and I was about to my neck deep in the water when… my necklace fell off.

My blue necklace is my prized possession. I swam under water and started searching the floor for my necklace. I couldn’t find it though. As I came back up for air I noticed something was over me. Turns out I swam a ways out and I was now under a big boat. I quickly swam away from under it which took a while longer; I saw a rock in the distance so I swam to it so I could catch my breath a bit.”

I noticed the officer was recording me, probably for my parents and for YouTube. I continued…

“As I sat there and minutes passed I saw a blue shimmer and decided to go out and get it, it looked like the necklace. I swam over there just about to reach it when I heard a scream from my left, which was even farther from the shore. I knew I had to help so I swam as fast as I could there to see Simon here sitting on a float and a shark underneath him.

I had been in a shark cage before, for training under water and I knew how to get them away. I dove under and went up to the sharks face suddenly not scared anymore and I got it to leave. After that I grabbed your son and calmed him down and I swam back with him. We learned a lot about each other and he is now one of my friends.” I smiled and so did he.

“God bless your brave heart” Ally; his mother told me as she gave me a tight hug, soon to follow was the father. The officer was smiling and spoke, “Your family and friends thought you went missing when really you saved a little boy who’s been lost at sea for days! Once everyone gets here I will replay your story and I will reward you as well at the whole state.” I grinned and picked Simon up, “Momma, dad can I hang out with Vesi sometimes?” his parents didn’t hesitate and agreed to it. We exchanged numbers and I told them I’d also baby sit whenever needed and teach him how to swim. They loved the idea.

We all talked some more when my parents, Tricity, and… PRESTON?! WHY IS HE HERE?! They all barged in and hugged me asking where I’d been and why another family was here. Everyone sat on the couch as Officer Max replayed my explanation; Preston stared at me in awe the whole way through. Max told them that Simon had been missing for the past days and they had almost given up the search, he also told them about me and Simon’s new friendship and how i generously offered the babysit when needed and teach him to swim.
