Particles of dust floated from the cracked window, showing through the ray of sunlight that hit the end of my bed. The bell rang and all the girls jumped to get ready. In an hour I was eating bitty porridge, making my insides churn with the amount I had eaten since I came here. I got up from the dented metal table and started my chores. Sweeping up crumbs from the lady's, and washing cutlery I spent my Saturday doing.
I was in the middle of wiping the table, when a loud knock on the door rang through my ears. I pattered over to it and peeked through the keyhole; a tall man with a large hat and a round stomach stood there looking impatient. I knew exactly who he was, and I ran upstairs and pulled out a suitcase, he was coming to take 3 girls away, and 3 boys, to the darkest of places, where they can never get out. I'm not sure why he does it, but I'm terrified of all the terrible stories I have heard about The Jungle ...
