The wolves sped up, snarling and baring their teeth, saffron and I ran over branches, roots of trees and leaves, the sound of our feet thumping on the sticky, yet dead floor. As we ran the wolves gained a few centimeters. I wished we could get away, but it's not easy to get away from such powerful animals. Another cave came into view, saffron pulled me into it and we got out of eyesight from the wolves, they stood outside the cave, confused and then ran of ...

"That was a close one!" Saffron exclaimed. "I know, that was terrifying!" I couldn't believe we got away so quickly, it was horrible, but could've been much worse. We slipped out of the cave and jogged across the jungle floor. We wove around trees and ducked under branches. The camp came into sight, and we ran into it, collapsing on the floor. The others saw us and ran up to us. "Where were you?!" They all shouted. "Its a long story ..." Saffron said ...

After we had told our story they all gave us some pheasant and mango, which was delicious and put down extra pillows for us.

People may say the jungle is a living hell, but from the experience I've had so far, the jungle is close to paradise ...
