The difference of psychopathy and sociopathy confuses many. There is a general consensus that psychopaths are just a more dangerous version of sociopaths. However, that is not true, and there are several traits that separate the two.
1. The ability to feel guilt or remorse.
Psychopaths are mostly classified as people who have little to no ability to feel guilt and remorse for their harmful behavior. They also lack empathy, causing them to never think of the feelings of other people and how actions may hurt them, both physically and mentally.
