Prim

I awoke, and carefully stretched out my arms while yawning. I checked my phone for the time > 10:51 am.

I sprang out of bed, and noticed Calum's side was empty on the bed. Quickly, I picked out the simplest outfit ever: a graphic tee and some maternity jeans with some leather black flats.

As I ran downstairs, I grabbed the brush and a ponytail on the way down. When I finally got to the bottom,  Calum was already there. He had even made breakfast.

The biggest smirk ever was plastered across his face. I playfully rolled my eyes as I sat down next to him at the island.

"Today's the day we get to find out the gender of baby Hood!" Calum said excitedly, before sipping his glass of juice.

"We should decide on names before we leave, so then when we get back we can just tell the lads the gender and name." I suggested.

"Yeah, okay Prim. I say Oliver for a boy,  and Ellery for a girl." Calum said.

"Hmm... I say Jack for a boy, and Athena for a girl. I've always loved those names." I said before I finished the breakfast Calum had made.

"Oliver for a boy and Athena for a girl!" Calum and I exclaimed in sync.

Calum and I both had the biggest grins on our faces as we cleaned up our plates. Once finished, we drove to the hospital, quite anxious to find out the gender of our baby.

My hands rested on my ever so growing bump, as we both waited in the waiting room. Other expecting mothers, some with or without the father, surrounded us.

"Primrose Irwin for Dr. Mc Allister?"the nurse, Cara, questioned.

Calum and I stood up, and the nurse motioned for us to follow her. My height was taken, 5'7, along with my weight. I've gained eight pounds.

"Alright, so how's the pregnancy been going along Prim? Pretty good, I assume?" Cara asked,  as we entered the room.

"Yeah. The morning sickness is decreasing, but cravings are picking up. Plus, this little bugger likes to be energetic too." I smiled.

"Okay. Same pharmacy for your vitamins and anti-nausea meds?" Cara asked, while typing away on the laptop in front of her.

"Yep." I spoke.

"Then Dr. Mc Allister will be with you shortly. Good luck you too!" Cara said,  as she left.

"Thank you Cara." we said to her.

It was a good seven minutes, before Dr. Mc Allister had finally entered the room.

"So, you both ready to find out this baby's gender?" Dr. Mc Allister asked, as she began to set everything  needed, up.

"Yeah, very." Calum and I sheepishly smiled at one another.

"Alright then, you know the drill Prim." Dr. Mc Allister said.

I laid down, and pulled my shirt to the top of my bump. Calum got up, and switched the lights off.

The cold gel was squirted onto my bump, and I shivered. I don't think I'll ever get used to it.

Dr. Mc Allister moved around the tool and smiled brightly when she found our baby.

"Okay... you two are going to have a happy,  and healthy baby girl! Congratulations!" Dr. Mc Allister said to us.

She printed off the number of copies we always got, eight. One for Calum and I, one for each of the lads and for our parents. Even though we're young, they've been gladly supporting us.

As we walked out of the doctors office, we couldn't stop smiling, while looking at the pictures of our beautiful baby girl.

"Athena, Athena Hood." I said, while looking at the pictures. I'm still in a bit of shock.

"Athena Noelle Hood?" Calum suggested, as we got into the vehicle.

"Athena Noelle Hood." I agreed, before giving my boyfriend a kiss. Noelle is a perfect middle name.

We drove home, and couldn't stop talking about little Athena. We wondered what she would look like, act like- things in that matter.

We raced to the front door of the flat,  and were immediately let inside by Ashton. All three of the lads looked impatient, because they're so anxious to find out the gender of their neice, or nephew.

"So, what's it gonna be? A neice or nephew?" Ashton asked.

We made them close their eyes, as we placed their copies of the scan in their hands. Once each of them had a copy, they were allowed to open their eyes.

"A girl! Lads, we're gonna have a neice!" Ashton exclaimed.

All three of them congratulated us, and kept pestering us about what we're naming our daughter. Once they calmed themselves down, we told them.

"Athena Noelle Hood." Calum proudly said, while we were cuddled up to each other on the couch.

"That's beautiful, she's gonna be perfect." Michael said.
