History went by without anything major. That might have been because the teacher looked slightly hungover, though... I started walking to lunch. I walked with a purpose. I had to look confident when the cafeteria saw me, even if I was frantically looking for a seat. Drake had to go to his locker, I decided not to walk with him and now I had to endure this awkwardness.
While going through the lunch line for food I made eye contact with him. Atfirst I didn't realize it was him so I looked away, then I quickly looked back to find him checking me out. I smirked. Tristan was already showing interest...
I picked up some fruit, a sandwich, and water and paid for my food. As I was heading towards an empty table I felt a warm arm slide around my waist and turn me around. My eyes met his bright blue ones. "Hey." He said in a voice that made me want to melt. Dear Lord, help me. He said one word and it made me want to give up on this whole plan. But I had to stay strong. I looked into his mesmerizing eyes a second longer, then turned away and walked to the table Drake was sitting at. I didn't look back, just introduced myself to the others at the table and made sure they liked me.
The game had begun.

It was the end of the day and I hadn't bumped into Tristan again. I was nervous that I wouldn't be able to stay mad at him. Then I remembered my past and how he treated me. I could stay mad at him. He ruined my self confidence and made me cry too many times for me to give up so easily on this. I was going to make him suffer. His heart had to break like mine had.
After meeting up with Drake at my locker we walked out of the building. I was so happy I had gotten through the first day. It was always the hardest.
"Hey, new girl!"
Greeeeaat. It was Tristan. I didn't want to talk to him. But I had to, to make this whole thing workout.
"You should ask before making up nicknames for other people."
"I feel like you already don't like me, you don't know me."
"I feel like you're a jacka**. I do know you. If you don't remember me then I'm glad I already have a bad opinion for you."
"Look, i don't know what your problem is, but most girls would be begging for me to look at them again. I can go find someone as hot as you somewhere else. Bye."
He turned around about an inch before I had a response.
"I am DEFINITLEY not most girls, and don't ever compare me to one of the girls who are always all over you. NOW you can go."
This time I walked away. Drake looked a little stunned, not that I blame him.
"Here's my number," He handed me some paper with scribbled boy handwriting on it. "Call me later and explain what just happened, I gotta catch my bus. See ya!"
"Bye!" I called out over the highschool kids talking. I walked to my lavender colored Beetle car and got in. I blasted the hits radio station and pretended my life was easy! Singing at the top of my lungs, I smiled because I knew my plan was going to work. Ofcourse Tristan could get girls just as hot as me, not with as much brains, but just as hot. What I did know, though, was that he couldn't find a girl who was as much of a challenge as I was. He would come back because I was a new thing for him. This would unravel perfectly...I hoped.
