This surprised Dream but he said what he thought.
"I doubt anyone would want to listen to me, especially since my own damn brother-" Dream said getting cut off by a cough which he tried to hide. "-doesn't want to." He continued.
"Why did you pause for a moment?" Killer asked, Dream was able to hide the cough quite well.
"N-no reason..." Dream strained a smile.
The way he was now, he couldn't tell the difference between a fake smile and a real one.
Emotional shut downs vary in length but they usually lasted from a few hours to a day or two. The shortest lasted half an hour and the longest lasted a month.
"If you say so," Killer said.
