He was adopted by them because mitsuki was not mentally or physically able to care for kat so aizawa took him in. He still sees his mum and sees her as his parent even though she isn't. He calls her his mama still.
Baku has a little space and autism. (I don't know too much about it so please correct my mistakes but some things are supposed to work like that in the book.) His dad left because mitsuki and kat mixed was too much for him.
This is inspired by katsaboo story and same kind of thing, like linked one shots.
