Chapter 2 : what a night its gonna be.

As me and my family arrived it was packed, many on the bleachers. rest of my family made theirselves to the bleachers as I went onto the court, when I stepped onto the court I saw the boy I saw earlier.. Erik Menendez. we made eye contact with each other as we got in place, as the coach let us begin we started playing, serving left and right hitting the ball. after five games it was the last one, he was in the lead but I only needed one more win making us tie. while playing he eventually volleyed the ball making me miss, the crowd went wild and I looked at the bleachers and I could see my family's disappointment. I did it for him wether or not I was going to get in trouble he deserved it, he looked very worried and I felt bad. I looked back and I saw all the other tennis players running up to him making a huge huddle and celebrated. I walked back over to the bleachers where my family was and they just stared at me.

𝖦𝖺𝖻𝗋𝗂𝖾𝗅𝗅𝖺: 𝗐𝗁𝖺𝗍?? I said, wiping the sweat off of my forehead. my father shook his head and left, my mother following. my sister was left with me and she broke the silence between us.
𝖵𝖾𝗋𝗈𝗇𝗂𝖼𝖺: 𝖨 𝗄𝗇𝗈𝗐 𝗐𝗁𝖺𝗍 𝗒𝗈𝗎 𝖽𝗂𝖽, 𝗒𝗈𝗎 𝗆𝗂𝗌𝗌𝖾𝖽 𝖿𝗈𝗋 𝗁𝗂𝗆!! 𝗌𝗈 𝖼𝗎𝗍𝖾 𝖻𝗎𝗍 𝗎𝗋 𝖺𝗌𝗌 𝗂𝗌 𝗀𝗈𝗂𝗇𝗀 𝗍𝗈 𝖻𝖾 𝗂𝗇 𝗍𝗋𝗈𝗎𝖻𝗅𝖾. she was right, I didn't want to be in the same position a couple days ago.
𝖦𝖺𝖻𝗋𝗂𝖾𝗅𝗅𝖺: 𝗐𝗁𝖺𝗍𝖾𝗏𝖾𝗋 𝗁𝖾 𝖽𝖾𝗌𝖾𝗋𝗏𝖾𝖽 𝗍𝗁𝖾 𝗐𝗂𝗇, 𝖨 𝖿𝖾𝗅𝗍 𝖻𝖺𝖽 𝖺𝗇𝗒𝗐𝖺𝗒𝗌 𝗁𝖾 𝗅𝗈𝗈𝗄𝖾𝖽 𝗌𝗈 𝗉𝗋𝖾𝗌𝗌𝗎𝗋𝖾𝖽 𝖻𝗒 𝗌𝗈𝗆𝖾𝗍𝗁𝗂𝗇𝗀 𝖻𝗎𝗍 I 𝖽𝗈𝗇𝗍 𝗄𝗇𝗈𝗐 𝗐𝗁𝖺𝗍 𝗂𝗍 𝗐𝖺𝗌 𝖺𝖻𝗈𝗎𝗍. I said to her, we were walking to the car as I heard my name being called, I turned around to see Erik walking up to me.
𝖦𝖺𝖻𝗋𝗂𝖾𝗅𝗅𝖺: 𝗁𝖾𝗒 𝗐𝗂𝗇𝗇𝖾𝗋, 𝗒𝗈𝗎 𝖽𝗂𝖽 𝗀𝗈𝗈𝖽 𝗈𝗎𝗍 𝗍𝗁𝖾𝗋𝖾!! 𝖨 𝗉𝗅𝖺𝗒𝖿𝗎𝗅𝗅𝗒 𝗉𝗎𝗇𝖼𝗁𝖾𝖽 𝗁𝗂𝗌 𝗌𝗁𝗈𝗎𝗅𝖽𝖾𝗋 𝗆𝖺𝗄𝗂𝗇𝗀 𝗁𝗂𝗆 𝖻𝗅𝗎𝗌𝗁 𝖺 𝖻𝗋𝗂𝗀𝗁𝗍 𝗋𝖾𝖽, 𝗈𝗁 𝗀𝗈𝖽 𝗍𝗁𝖺𝗍𝗌 𝖼𝗎𝗍𝖾.
𝖤𝗋𝗂𝗄: 𝗍𝗁𝖺𝗇𝗄 𝗒𝗈𝗎 𝗈𝗁 𝖺𝗇𝖽 𝖨 𝗁𝖺𝗏𝖾 𝖺 𝗊𝗎𝖾𝗌𝗍𝗂𝗈𝗇 𝖿𝗈𝗋 𝗒𝗈𝗎 𝗀𝗎𝗒𝗌, 𝗐𝗈𝗎𝗅𝖽 𝗒𝗈𝗎 𝗀𝗎𝗒𝗌 𝗐𝖺𝗇𝗍 𝗍𝗈 𝗁𝖺𝗏𝖾 𝖽𝗂𝗇𝗇𝖾𝗋 𝗐𝗂𝗍𝗁 𝗆𝖾 𝖺𝗇𝖽 𝗆𝗒 𝖿𝖺𝗆𝗂𝗅𝗒?? he stared into my eyes mainly, I felt my body getting hot and I broke our eye contact, looking at the ground. I don't know why im feeling like this, I cant fall for a dude a barely even know and besides I never had been in a relationship before.
𝖵𝖾𝗋𝗈𝗇𝗂𝖼𝖺: 𝗒𝖾𝗌 𝗐𝖾 𝗐𝗈𝗎𝗅𝖽 𝗅𝗈𝗏𝖾 𝗍𝗈! she said then smacked me on the back of the head, making me look up quickly.
𝖤𝗋𝗂𝗄: 𝗌𝖾𝖾 𝗒𝗈𝗎 𝗉𝗋𝖾𝗍𝗍𝗒 𝗀𝗂𝗋𝗅𝗌 𝗌𝗈𝗈𝗇. He smiled and winked at me before leaving. Veronica was shaking me while smiling big.
𝖦𝖺𝖻𝗋𝗂𝖾𝗅𝗅𝖺: 𝖽𝗈𝗇𝗍 𝗀𝖾𝗍 𝗒𝗈𝗎𝗋 𝗁𝗈𝗉𝖾𝗌 𝗎𝗉. I walked to the car and got into the back, veronica followed me and we drove off.
𝖥𝖺𝗍𝗁𝖾𝗋: 𝖧𝖮𝖶 𝖣𝖠𝖱𝖤 𝖸𝖮𝖴 𝖣𝖨𝖲𝖠𝖯𝖯𝖮𝖨𝖭𝖳 𝖬𝖤 𝖨𝖭 𝖥𝖱𝖮𝖭𝖳 𝖮𝖥 𝖤𝖵𝖤𝖱𝖸𝖮𝖭𝖤!! I looked out the window, blocking out his screaming and shut my eyes wishing it would end. The yelling went on for a solid 4 minutes, I fell asleep after it all. as the hour past I woke up to myself being shaken, I looked to my side to see my sister.
𝖵𝖾𝗋𝗈𝗇𝗂𝖼𝖺: 𝗐𝖾 𝖺𝗋𝖾 𝗁𝖾𝗋𝖾. she said quietly, getting out of the car and I did as-well. me and her walked into the car as we heard our mom talking on the phone.
𝖬𝗈𝗍𝗁𝖾𝗋: 𝗍𝗁𝖾 𝖬𝖾𝗇𝖾𝗇𝖽𝖾𝗓'𝗌 𝖺𝗋𝖾 having us 𝗈𝗏𝖾𝗋 𝖿𝗈𝗋 𝖽𝗂𝗇𝗇𝖾𝗋, 𝗀𝗈 𝗀𝖾𝗍 𝗋𝖾𝖺𝖽𝗒. we nodded and headed upstairs into our rooms, I walked into my room and saw my dad standing there with a belt in his hand. I tried running out but he grabbed me and threw me to the ground, locking the door and stood over me.
𝖥𝖺𝗍𝗁𝖾𝗋: 𝗒𝗈𝗎 𝗆𝖺𝗇𝗂𝗉𝗎𝗅𝖺𝗍𝖾𝖽 𝗆𝖾 𝗂𝗇 𝖿𝗋𝗈𝗇𝗍 𝗈𝖿 𝖾𝗏𝖾𝗋𝗒𝗈𝗇𝖾. he said as he whipped me. tears had streamed down my face, the feeling of my skin burned and it throbbed in pain. I didn't show fear, if I did I would have gotten more beaten and I couldn't handle the pain anymore. he then picked me and threw me on the bed rolling me onto my stomach, I tried fighting against him but he was too strong. I quietly sobbed into the sheets as he went in me, feeling the sharp pain inside my body was torturing. as soon as he got done and walked out of my room leaving me in pain, I fell to my floor and cried softly, I didn't want to live like this. while quietly whimpering, slowly dragging my limp body upon the floor into the bathroom. I had sat in the shower for what it felt like 7 hours, I scratched and rubbed my body as hard as I could to get the feeling away.

I walked out of my room still in so much pain for what had happened. I looked around and saw them standing outside with who it seemed to be the Menendez Family. I sighed and sat on the stairs overthinking things. Soon the front door opened and I saw my sister standing there.
𝖵𝖾𝗋𝗈𝗇𝗂𝖼𝖺: 𝖨 𝗄𝗇𝗈𝗐 𝗐𝗁𝖺𝗍 𝗁𝖺𝗉𝗉𝖾𝗇𝖾𝖽 𝖺𝗇𝖽 𝗒𝗈𝗎'𝗋𝖾 𝗀𝗈𝗂𝗇𝗀 𝗍𝗈 𝖻𝖾 𝗈𝗄. she said reaching out for my hand and grabbed it, we walked outside and had their eyes on us.
𝖩𝗈𝗌𝖾́: 𝗐𝗈𝗐 𝗆𝗈𝗇𝗍𝗀𝗈𝗆𝖾𝗋𝗒, 𝖺𝗇𝗈𝗍𝗁𝖾𝗋 𝖻𝖾𝖺𝗎𝗍𝗂𝖿𝗎𝗅 𝗀𝗂𝗋𝗅 𝗒𝗈𝗎 𝗁𝖺𝗏𝖾 𝗁𝖾𝗋𝖾! he said in a cheerful tone, I slightly smiled to his comment and we started walking to their house, leaving us four in the back.
𝖵𝖾𝗋𝗈𝗇𝗂𝖼𝖺: 𝖼𝗈𝗇𝗀𝗋𝖺𝗍𝗌 𝗈𝗇 𝗒𝗈𝗎𝗋 𝗐𝗂𝗇, 𝖤𝗋𝗂𝗄. my sister said, sounding proud. I was still lost in my thoughts, the memory of it was killing me. I snapped out of my thoughts and looked up at erik who seemed to be in front of me.
𝖤𝗋𝗂𝗄: 𝗒𝗈𝗎 𝗀𝗎𝗒𝗌 𝗁𝖾𝖺𝖽 𝗂𝗇, 𝗐𝖾 𝗐𝗂𝗅𝗅 𝖻𝖾 𝗋𝗂𝗀𝗁𝗍 𝗍𝗁𝖾𝗋𝖾. he said and veronica and lyle went inside with the parents. we made contact and he crossed his arms.
𝖤𝗋𝗂𝗄: 𝖺𝗋𝖾 𝗒𝗈𝗎 𝗈𝗄? 𝗒𝗈𝗎 𝗌𝖾𝖾𝗆 𝗈𝖿𝖿. I looked down at the ground in guilt, I don't like lying but I also can't tell him what had happened between me and my father. it's funny how me and him just met and he already knows what's wrong with me.
𝖦𝖺𝖻𝗋𝗂𝖾𝗅𝗅𝖺: 𝗃𝗎𝗌𝗍 𝗅𝗈𝗌𝗍 𝗂𝗇 𝗍𝗁𝗈𝗎𝗀𝗁𝗍𝗌 𝗂 𝗀𝗎𝖾𝗌𝗌. I fake smiled and he nodded slowly.
𝖤𝗋𝗂𝗄: 𝗐𝖾𝗅𝗅 𝗉𝗋𝖾𝗍𝗍𝗒 𝗅𝖺𝖽𝗒 𝗒𝗈𝗎 𝗅𝗈𝗈𝗄 𝗌𝗍𝗎𝗇𝗇𝗂𝗇𝗀. he smiled and kissed my hand. I shook my head and slightly giggled.
𝖦𝖺𝖻𝗋𝗂𝖾𝗅𝗅𝖺: 𝗌𝗍𝗈𝗉 𝗂𝗍𝗍𝗍!! 𝗅𝖾𝗍𝗌 𝗁𝖾𝖺𝖽 𝗂𝗇 𝖻𝖾𝖿𝗈𝗋𝖾 𝗍𝗁𝖾𝗒 𝗀𝖾𝗍 𝗆𝖺𝖽 𝗆𝗆?? he smiled and nodded, I tucked my hand in the crook of his arm and we walked to his house entering in. oh what a night it's gonna be..
