The Plague (Nct & Male Reader)

"Damn, the doors are shut tight. I'll try to pry it open.": Jinwoo said whilst taking out a pry.

Just when he was about to stick the metal object in between the doors to try and pry it, the door opened. He turned to look at (M/N) who had manually unlocked it by using a bobby pin as a lockpick.

"Why do you have a bobby pin on you?": his friend questioned.

"It's Yunmi's, I just carry it around cause she likes her hair tidy.": he replied with a shrug before looking down.

     Luck wasn't on their side this time as the elevator was a few floors below them, it was too high for them to jump straight down so they latched onto the side to reach the roof of the metal container.

     Just as they started climbing down, a loud roar could be heard. They looked up to see a huge abnormal with four pointed legs protruding out of its back, making it easier for it to climb walls. Just within a few seconds, it was on top of them, the two dodged the incoming attacks as much as possible but they knew they couldn't avoid it much longer.

"Shit! Get ready to jump!": he swiped the sharp leg away with a dagger. "And when I signal you, latch onto the wall!": he ordered and earned a nod.

"Go!": he said and they both let go at the same time with the abnormal following.

     Just as they were about to hit the metal container, they latched onto whatever they could grab a hold of. (M/N) threw a small explosive that his father created onto the metal container. Whilst falling, the monster managed to graze the boy as it fell onto the top of the elevator.

     Praying that the explosion wouldn't cause them much damage, it soon exploded, breaking the metal ropes that held the elevator and sent it straight down to the bottom along with the monster.

     Coughing and fanning away the dust that flew up, they looked down and saw nothing but grey smoke for a while until it cleared it up, revealing an opening at the bottom.

"Well I was thinking of killing it first but I guess this works too.": Jinwoo said with a chuckle before heading down.

     When their feet touched the ground, they immediately frozed upon looking at the dozen amount of zombies that were littered around the parking lot.

"Poor guys, must've wanted to escape but got here too late.": the younger commented.

(M/N) just hummed before grabbing out a knife. "You ready?": he asked with a smirk.

"Always.": the other replied before charging ahead.

     The two then began their killing spree in the parking lot, with swift and skillful movements, they managed to wipe them all out within a few minutes successfully without getting scratched not bitten.

"Phew, I never expected this much man.": the younger said while wiping the sweat off his brows.

"There would be a lot more if you work in an office.": (M/N) simply commented whilst flicking the blood off the knife. "Now let's go get a car."

     After a while of "car shopping", they made a final decision on an mpv and a suv for more space.

     Being very experienced in fixing cars, they easily started the vehicles up with some simple tools and without the requirement of a key since the owner wasn't around to lend it to them. Hearing the engine start, (M/N) got out and did some finishing touches on the outside like letting some air out of the tires so that it wouldn't make so much noise when going on rough surfaces.

"I think that should be it, we should get them down here.": he said whilst dusting the dirt off of his hands.

"Uhhhhh question.": the younger asked, raising a hand and making the older turn to look at him. "How? The stairs are blocked."
