Chapter 4

Emison lost time, lost memories

I wake up abruptly in my bed with a pounding headache and horrid taste in my mouth. I get up and brush my teeth and take a shot of the pain relief gun. I wandered into the kitchen and saw Kaelin eyeing me curiously.

"When did I get home," I asked curiously.

"Hell if I know I just got back from Zimon's," she grins and gets me a cup of freshly brewed coffee. I rubbed the back of my neck and frowned.

"Fuck I can't remember anything that happened last night," I groan, taking a sip of coffee.

"You left to talk with Elrin and came back and then left with Nyco," she chuckles. I rubbed my eyes.

"Gawd I'm a fucking slut," I mumble softly and Kaelin laughed.

"You probably got super drunk and blacked out skank," she giggles and I scowled at her. I shook my head and finished my coffee. I head to the bathroom to shower. I was scrubbing my skin and felt a sore spot near my upper rib cage. I must have stumbled into something, I think and cursed my clumsiness. I finished, dressed and dried my hair. Kaelin walked in and eyed me strangely.

"Why are you getting ready for work, we're off today, remember Zimon changed our schedules," she chuckles and I slapped my forehead, I'd forgotten about it again.

"My memory is shit lately," I scowl and go to change my skin suit, deciding on a peach colored one.

"Maybe you should hang with your AI boyfriend Elrin, I'm sure he'd appreciate it, then I can invite Zimon over," Kaelin suggested happily. I rolled my eyes and smiled. I walked past her and gave her a thumbs up. I put on my white boots and told her I was leaving as I headed out the door. I knocked on Elrin's door and waited. He wasn't answering so I started kicking it with my foot. The door opened suddenly and I kicked him in his shin.

"Ouch," he laughed and winked.

"Kidding," he mumbles and lets me inside. He kissed my cheek as I passed him and I smiled going to sit on his couch. I leaned back and exhaled harshly.

"I can't recall anything that happened last night," I sighed in frustration.

"That used to happen to you a lot in the past, have you been drinking more again," he questioned me with concern.

I creased my brow and shook my head

"Those times were long ago, this just happened recently, plus I hurt my side somehow and ugh, I'm not a fucking lush," I snapped and Elrin chuckles. He sits next to me and leaned back, eyeing me curiously.

"I suppose you forgot that you told me you loved me too," he sighs and rubs his eyes. I grinned and looked at him, I did love him.

"I do love you, you're my 2nd best friend and number one lover," I smile and kiss his cheek. He grins smugly and rests his arm around my shoulders.

"what do you want to do today," he asked curiously. I shrugged as I thought.

"I don't know what to do," I sighed and closed my eyes, my head still hurt a bit. Elrin chuckled and wrapped his arm around my middle and squeezed causing me to hiss in pain.

"Let me see what you've done to yourself," he sighed and started unzipping my skin suit. I helped lower it to my hips and he lifted my arm to look at my sore side. I feel his fingers brush against the area and hissed again. I watched confusion touch his eyes.

"There's a small bruise and a needle mark," he frowned and looked at me.

"You can't remember what happened last night, looks like you were drugged," he scowled angrily. I frowned, remembering what Kaelin told me.
