Emison my new life
Xavis and I wed each other in the Central hub, it wasn't anything like the human weddings like the memories of my uploaded soul. We had to sign paperwork and complete an injection of each other's blood, very weird. Good thing we had already shared blood once before during my transfusion. I'm seven months pregnant and my abdomen is shaped like a tiny ball, the base doctor says it's fine but I'm concerned still feeling it's so small. I have free run of the base and even though Xavis is way over protective of me, I still manage to take a daily walk. Today is no different. I started along the dirt road that went around the entire base and waved to the soldiers I passed. There was a new batch coming today and I stood off to the side and watched them exit the large transporter. I squinted my eyes then widened them seeing two familiar faces. I ran up to Nyco and Elrin with a smile on my face.
"What are you two doing," I question them.
"We enlisted a second time and requested this base and due to our previous service got it granted to us," Nyco explained. Elrin looked tired and yawned.
"Is Nyco not fucking you enough," I chuckle and he scowled at me.
"Shush woman, we can't let anyone know we're a couple or they'll separate us," he whispered harshly, causing me to laugh harder. They both looked at my protruding belly and smiled. Elrin but his hands on it grinning.
"You're having the General's baby, that's so adorable," he smiles up at me.
"When are you due love," he asked curiously.
"Soon, I got married already too, actually a while ago, we didn't have a party just us and paperwork," I smiled. They both nodded and stood up straight and saluted. I turned and grinned seeing my husband behind me.
"Oh your two agent friends decided to join my base," Xavis smiled and wrapped his arm around my waist. He pecked my cheek and looked at the pair.
"Don't expect any special treatment," he grinned and looked at me concerned.
"Is it wise for you to be this far from the medical facility," he whispered into my ear. I chewed my lips and shrugged, I felt fine.
"Just be careful love, you two should catch up with your group," he comments and heads towards the office buildings. I watched him leave and frowned.
"I'll see ya both around here," I waved and continued on my walk. The day was beautiful and I walked along the edge of the high desert area. I looked back and I was kind of far, so I turned and headed back. I was close to the bunkhouse when my water broke.
I stood mortified at the wet stain on my crotch. I walked as fast as I could to our house hoping to change clothes. Xavis was watching me curiously from the window of his office wondering what I was doing. I scrambled up the stairs and rushed to our room to find a clean maternity suit.
I pulled the damp one off and showered quickly. The water kept leaking out of me and I was worried. The bathroom door opened and Xavis walked in looking at me curiously.
"What is going on Emi," he asked.
"I keep leaking," I mumbled sadly and he rubbed his eyes.
"Your water broke, we need to get you to the doctor, love," he states calmly. My eyes widened and a rush of panic hit me and I started hyperventilating. Xavis walks into the shower and holds me close to himself.
"You're going to be fine Emi," he sighs and rubs my back. He pulled me out of the water spray and dried me off with a towel and helped me get dressed. He was soaking wet and I laughed, he grinned and helped me down the stairs.
"Any pain at all," he asked curiously and I shook my head. We get down the stairs and I start to frown.
"Isn't it too soon for the baby," I mumble sadly. Xavis shrugged and lifted me into his arms and carried me to the medical facility. All the soldiers were watching us and wishing us luck. I smiled and leaned against Xavis's chest. I wrapped my arms around his neck as he pushed the door open with his hip. The doctor met us in the hall.
"Her water broke, but no pain yet," Xavis mumbled to the man and he led us down the hall to an empty examination room.
"Get her in a medical gown and up on the table I'll be back shortly," the doctor grins and Xavis started undressing me. He kissed me softly as he slid the fabric down over my baby bump. He put the gown on me and lifted me onto the exam table. I laid there with anxiety strumming through my veins.
"I fucking hate these tables," I mumble and my sweet husband ran his fingers through my hair to relax me. The doctor came back in and checked my wooha, it was embarrassing. He frowned and eyed Xavis.
"I might have to surgically remove the child General," the doctor mumbled uncomfortably. I looked at Xavis and frowned, I was scared, terribly so. He kissed my forehead and smiled at me.
"Everything is going to be alright," he tells me but I could hear the unease in his voice and see it in his eyes.
"Do what you feel is necessary," I muttered softly. Xavis squeezed my hand and the doctor started inserting lines to my body. I felt the prick of a needle and slowly lost consciousness. I blinked my eyes open to bright sunlight shining through the room's window. I looked down at my stomach and saw it wrapped in bandages. I pushed the call button and rubbed the sleep from my eyes. A woman entered the room and smiled at me.
"Good morning Mrs. Derix, how are you feeling dear," she asked sweetly.
"I'm good but thirsty," I mumble. She brought me a cup of ice chips. I put one in my mouth and crunched it quickly.
"Where's Xavis," I asked curiously.
"He's with your son, feeding him at the moment, I'll bring them in," she smiled as she left and I grinned happily. I watched Xavis walk in with a tiny bundle nestled in his arms, his face was smiling brightly and he grins at me.
"I named him Zan, I hope that's ok," he stated happily. He set the little baby in my arm and I looked at the most adorable thing in creation. Big green eyes looked up at me with a cute little face. A tear fell from my eye.
"He's perfect," I sigh and I hold him to my chest. Xavis kissed my cheek and sat next to me looking at his little family.
"Glad I got the nursery finished in time," he chuckled and Zan's eyes followed the sound and smiled. It was so damn cute.
"Good job wife, I love you," Xavis smiled and kissed my lips. I kissed him back and sighed. My hope for the future had come true. I fed Zan the bottle Xavis was holding and listened to Xavis explain to me what the nurses had told him. I listened to him and smiled at him being so thorough.
"I got it love," I grin and turned Zan over and patted his back to burp. The little stinker let one loose and I laughed.
"My dad's visiting tomorrow, in secret, he wants to meet his grandson," Xavis whispered softly at me and I nod. The nurse came in and explained that she was ready to remove my bandages. I looked surprised and she laughed.
"Our equipment is top notch here and due to your genetic makeup you heal much faster than others," she smiles and
Xavis took Zan from my arms. He looked happy and would be a great dad. I smiled at him as the nurse removed the wrappings so I could go home. I watched her remove them and was shocked by only seeing a small scar. I smiled and looked up at Xavis, thinking I'm going to get some loving tonight. The nurse smiled and said I could go home when I want.
"Hand me my clothes honey," I ask Xavis. He looked around the room and frowned.
"I'll need to go get you some," he grins and hands me Zan, kissing my forehead. I smiled and nodded, looking down at my cute son. I tickled his tiny nose and he sneezed. Xavis hurried to find me clothes and I leaned back laying my baby against my chest. My life was everything I'd ever hoped for and I knew that our future together would be perfect.
