Summary: Project Rebirth, phase two: use Steve Rogers' DNA to create a new super soldier. At the dawn of the War On Terror, SHIELD finally put phase two into motion. To their great disappointment, the result was a girl, quickly cast aside. Raised by the best of the best, Nikki Rogers was allowed to grow up as a normal child — albeit a normal child who was trained as a soldier, whose life belonged to SHIELD, whose father is Captain America himself. Nikki is as shocked as anyone when her dad is found in the ice, but even an alien invasion isn't enough to curb her excitement at finally meeting him. Unfortunately, an alien invasion is nothing compared to what lies ahead.
