.*・ I opened my eyes as the bright sun blinded my eyes. I woke up to see L sleeping on the chair. 'That must've been uncomfortable' I thought. I decided to let him sleep. I got up to go to the toilet, when i came back i saw L searching around in panic. "What are you searching for?" I asked. "Y/N, thank god you're okay. I panicked because you were gone."
"I'm okay L, i just went to the toilet." "Did you pack all of your stuff? We are leaving the hospital today." L said. "Yes i did."
We took care of the papers at the hospital and went to L's house. I placed my stuff and settled down. 'I should take a shower.' I walked over to my closet to pick some clothes i could wear for after the shower.
I entered the bathroom and placed my stuff. I heard L walking towards the door, i didn't lock it yet. He opened the door and asked "Oh Y/N, are you going to take a shower?" "Yes, i've been very exhausted and thought taking a shower will calm me down."
"Wanna take it together?" He asked and winked. "Geez L, i said i was exhausted. I want to get this over with." I said laughing so he wouldn't take it the wrong way. "But you know we could have some fun time together." "Let's do that another time, okay?" "Fine" He crossed his arms and turned around as he huffed like a toddler.
I locked the door and entered the shower. I set the water at the right temperature and started washing myself. I felt so relieved that i just wanted to sleep at that spot. I continued washing myself making sure i got every spot. After about 20 minutes i got out and wrapped a towel around my body and hair. I dried my hair and wore my clothes. I left the bathroom and made my way downstairs. I took my phone and checked the notifications. I saw a message from L. It said, "Y/N, i was needed at the investigation, so i left. There is some food in the fridge that i ordered for you, if you don't like it you can order something else with the money on the counter. I'll be coming home around 10PM. Have a great day my love and sorry that we couldn't spend the time together. I promise i'll make it up to you. -L"
A smile formed on my face and texted him back "It's okay, i understand that you're busy with work and that we can't spend everyday together. You stayed besides me at the hospital and didn't leave a single day. I'm grateful for that. I wish you the best of luck at your investigation. I love you, take care. -Y/N" *send*
I walked to the kitchen to eat the food he had bought me. I opened the fridge and saw a whole box of pizza. 'Oh my god i love this man.' Was what i thought. I immediately heated the pizza up. As i waited, my phone rang. I picked it up only to see a phone number on the screen. 'This number seems familiar.' I opened "Hello, who is this?" I asked "I'm hurt to know that you didn't save my phone number on your device, my dear Y/N."
'Light, why is he calling me?' I thought "Light?" "Yes Y/N it's me. Is everything okay with you. Can i ask when did we meet up for the last time or saw each other?" "Why?" "Just tell me." He said "Well that would be at the cinema, but why did you ask?" "Oh i see. Well i just want to say do you want to settle things between us? I don't like the way things ended, as both mature adults we should settle things for the sake of our good old times. I don't ask of you to be friends again, but to just settle things. Is that alright with you?"
"Well can you wait a few seconds? I'll call you back." "Okay, take your time." I closed the phone and started calling L. He opened the phone immediately and said "Hello love, what's the matter?" "Hello L, sorry to call you during your work, but there's something i really need to ask you to make a decision." "What is it?" "Light just called me and said he wanted to settle things between us. I didn't want to just go there without telling you, you deserve to know because of the things that has happened."
"Wait for me, i'm coming home." "L, wait no! You're at work and i don't want to get in the way. I can just decline his offer." "No you wait. This is actually good and you won't be in the way." "Whatever you say, L" I said and called Light again.
"Where do you want me to come?" I asked "I'll send you the location" Light said and closed the phone. He sent me the location. It was at a cafe.
I waited for L to come back. 'Why did he say that this is actually good? Does he want us to settle things between the both of us?' I heard the door bell ring and got up to open it. "Hi, you really didn't have to do this, now i feel bad that i am the reason you couldn't get your work done." He hugged me and said "No love, don't feel bad. It's really alright, besides i'd do anything for you." We hugged for a while. "Okay let's go , where is he waiting?" I showed him the location and we started walking.
We arrived at the cafe. I looked inside it was a small, but nice cafe. I saw Light waiting at one of the tables, you could see him through the glass from outside. We stepped in and walked towards the table. I saw Light's eyes widen as we came. He seemed to be looking at L. 'Is he scared of him?'
"Hello Y/N and L." "Hello" I said and we sat down at the table. L and me sat next to each other as Light sat in front of us. "Why did you bring him with you? I wanted to settle things between the BOTH OF US." Light said. "How dare you say that, after all you've done. You really are taking advantage of the fact that Y/N doesn't remember anything about what happened and why she landed in the hospital in the first place. You are an asshole you have caused her to almost die and now you're like 'I wAnt To sEtTlE tHinGs BetWeEn uS' Shut the fuck up cause I won't let you get near her anymore. This is why i came too, i wanted to say this to your ugly face and remind her on what happened, because i was going to tell her anyways." L said, he looked really angry so i held his hands to calm him down.
"What happened?" "You really don't remember, huh?" L asked. "I don't, is it bad of me not to remember?" "It isn't bad nor good. I'll tell you what happened while this man sits there and listens in shame." "What happened i-" L was about to explain, but stopped when Light interrupted "Wait don't tell her, please. I want to start over give me a second chance. She will never forgive me."
"This is exactly what i'm talking about, you're taking advantage of the fact that she doesn't remember anything. And you got plenty of second chances. Just what do you think you are?" He then turned back to me
"Anyways, what happened is, he called you and said that he wanted to meet up with you, to settle things just like he did now. So i allowed you to go and gave you a time limit to come, if you didn't come after that many minutes had passed, i would come to the said location. So you went and i waited. I walked to the location because that many minutes had already passed, but i only saw Light there staring at the sky blankly. I looked at the ground and saw blood, so i lost my cool and punched him asking what happened. He explained and i started punching him even more. He got knocked out and i went to the hospital you were at. What happened was, he said he wanted to settle things between you, but brought your father along, he obviously didn't talk and stabbed you."
My eyes widened after hearing what happened 'How could he do that to me. The things he did so far were unacceptable and wrong, but this, this is just at an another level.' I sat there in silence not knowing what to say. "Y/N please forgive me. I didn't want that to happen, i wanted for you to make peace with your father, i wanted for you to be happy again." "You fucker, how could you say that. It's not up to you what her relationship is with her father. Especially not after the things you've done." L said he was starting to get angrier.
"L, why don't we just leave. I don't want to look at his face again." "Great idea" L said and got up. We both started to walk away "Y/N, I won't give up on you. Just you wait." We didn't listen to him and walked away.
