Cara

We made our way to the dance floor, Noah reluctant as always. But once we were all gathered there, the dance music that had been pumping through the speakers changed. It was something slower, but I recognised it the moment it started.

I found a love for me
Oh darling, just dive right in and follow my lead
Well, I found a girl, beautiful and sweet
Oh, I never knew you were the someone for me

"Cara Allen?" I turned to see Noah holding his hand out to me.

"May I have this dance?" I giggled at his formality, it was a side I hadn't seen to him before.

"Of course you may." The two of us laughed as I took his hand and dipped into a curtsy. He spun me around, and lead me to the dance floor where the others were already attempting to slow dance to the song, with varying amounts of success.

I placed my hand on his shoulder, and he wrapped his around me, and it settled on my back, just above where the fabric of my dress started. His fingertips brushing lightly across my bare skin sending shivers down my spine. For just a few moments, the rest of the villa melted away, and it felt like we were the only two people in the world.

'Cause we were just kids, when we fell in love
Not knowing what it was
I will not give you up this time
But darling, just kiss me slow, your heart is all I own
And in your eyes, you're holding mine

Baby, I'm dancing in the dark, with you between my arms

Barefoot on the grass, listening to our favourite song
When you said you looked a mess, I whispered under my breath
But you heard it, darling, you look perfect tonight

The two of us effortlessly danced around the dance floor, somehow avoiding colliding with the others, lost in our own little moment. My heart was happy.

"Come here." I giggled as Noah lead me over to the lawn, away from the others, and knelt down to help me step out of my shoes.

"What are you doing?" I laughed at him.

"It's like Ed says, we're going to dance in the dark, barefoot on the grass, just me and you." He untied his laces,  kicked his shoes off and wrapped his arms around my shoulders, pulling me into him. My arms snaked around his waist, and we slowly swayed from side to side, as the song came to an end.

Baby I'm, dancing in the dark, with you between my arms
Barefoot on the grass, listening to our favourite song
I have faith in what I see
Now I have met an angel, in person
And she looked perfect
I don't deserve this
You look perfect tonight

Noah sighed as the melody came to an end, and the two of us stayed where we were as the music changed, and In my Mind by Dynoro and Gigi D'Agnostino started blaring through the speakers.

"Yessss! This is more like it!" I heard Lottie call out from the dance floor.

"Cara! Girl get over here!"

"You've been summoned." Noah loosened his embrace and stepped back a little, looking down at me, a smile on his face.

"It looks like I have been. Do you mind?"

He leant down and kissed me softly.

"Cara!" I glanced over to see Lottie waving at me, beckoning me to go and dance with her. I turned and looked back at Noah, a small smile on his face.

"Go, have fun baby girl."

"You sure? I'm more than happy here with you."

"Of course I'm sure." He kissed me again before unwrapping himself from me, and tapped me lightly on the ass as I darted back across the lawn to join Lottie.
