Cara came bounding over to the gym, a huge grin on her face. I wonder who she'd spoken to, whoever it was, it seemed to have gone well.

"Rahim! You're up next, good luck!" Rahim gave me a nervous glance as he put his weights back in the weight rack.

"You'll be fine mate, just be yourself." I said, as I clapped a hand to his shoulder.

"Hi." Cara said softly as I felt her hands snake their way around my waist as she hugged me from behind.

"Hi baby." I turned, still wrapped up in her arms, and wrapped mine around her shoulders, kissing her on the forehead as I pulled her into the hug.

"How'd you go? Did you meet mum?"

"I didn't! I met Mason! Wait, you never told me what you and Sofia spoke about!"

"Apparently your dad wants a word with me when we get out of here."

"Oh. Oh no. Oh no, no, no. What has he seen!" She gasped, and her mouth opened wide. "No, the hideaway?! Surely not..."

"No, last night hasn't been aired yet. Sofia confirmed that, she asked about it actually."

"Wait what?"

"They aired our conversation on the terrace, so she asked about that a little bit, and then asked what happened last night."

"And what did you say?"

"Nothing. I told her if you wanted to talk about it with her then you would when we got out of here."

"Ugh, and this, Mr. Carmichael, is why I love you." She reached up and kissed me lightly.

"Mr. Carmichael? I like the sound of that coming from your lips baby girl."

"Oh I know, and I know it's not the only thing you like hearing from my lips, Daddy." A low growl left the back of my throat, she'd already learnt what certain honorifics did to me.

"You need to watch yourself, you knowing teasing me won't end well for you."

She gave me the sweetest smile she could, before miming zipping her lips shut.

"So, what did you and Mason talk about?" She sighed, before releasing herself from my grasp and flopped down on the edge of the weight bench.

"Well, first, he accused me of attracting drama, so things started off kind of rocky."

"He what?!"

"He asked about Nathan, and if it was completely over."

"Which it is, isn't it?"

"Of course, Hopps, I've closed that book, and it's never going to be picked up again, I promise you that." She gave me a small, reassuring smile.

"Good." I sat down next to her, and gently bumped my shoulder against hers, she giggled, and pushed back into me.

"And, apparently your mum and sisters love me!"

"I knew they would." I draped an arm around her shoulders and kissed her temple, pulling her in close.

"Ugh, can you two get a room! I'm trying to work out here!" Gary made a gagging sound.

"You mean we!"

"Ah cut it Bobs, we all know you're not lifting anything."

"I... No, why am I even trying. I'm not. I'm going to go see what Jo is up to."

"Me too." Elijah dropped down from the pull up bar and followed Bobby, the two of them slumped down into a couple of bean bags on the lawn, where the girls were sitting.
