The raven-haired boy, the Professor and the Aether Family duo all took a seat on each of their respective seats, the silence was filling the air before Lusamine cleared it herself, asking Red a question.
"Ash?" Lusamine asked.
"Yes, miss Lusamine?" Red nonchalantly replied.
"Will you take care of my daughter?" She said as the mentioned girl was red as a jalapeño hearing her mother's question.
"Mother!" Lillie exclaimed, as the raven-haired boy just sat there and was purely shut as Kukui started laughing his butt off as the scene unfolded in his lab.
"I was just joking around, Lillie!" Lusamine answered her as her daughter sighed in relief. "But he'd definitely have my blessing when it comes to it!" She ended as her daughter started fuming in embarrassment as Red was still nonchalantly sitting there.
"No comment." Red stated as Lusamine chuckled and Kukui laughed even harder, causing Lillie to blush harder than before.
As the laughs died down, Kukui then finally asked Red.
"So, cousin, what brings you here to my lovely laboratory?" Kukui asked the champion.
"I was actually wondering if we would talk about this privately.." Red asked as Lusamine and Lillie had no problem with at as they nodded claiming for them to go ahead; Kukui and Red then stepped foot outside the lab and started to talk about the certain topic.
"So, what's wrong?" Kukui asked as he saw the look on Red's disgusted face, if his son-like figure was acting like that then there had to be something up.
"I've been having personal problems for a while." Red stated. "Though, I haven't really been telling anyone about this, I haven't been feeling the fire in me anymore."
"What do you mean by that?" Kukui asked, wondering what he exactly meant by "I haven't been feeling the fire in me lately."
"What I mean by that," Red started as he held his cap as he took it off. "Is that I want to stop battling." Shocking Kukui as he was taken aback by the champion's statement, he couldn't believe what the boy was saying now as battling was his passion until now.
"And why is that?" Kukui asked, wanting to hear what the champion was feeling before he would make a clear answer.
"It's sudden, but I want to rethink of what I had been through first." He said as he set his gaze on his palms with his ruby red eyes. "After I win the tournament and become a Pokemon Master, i'll just stop."
"I don't have any ambition, I don't have anymore morale to boost myself up to battle and battle." Red finished as he looked up and crossed his arms.
"Well, why don't you visit a new region?" The Professor slyly said, making the champion avert his gaze to him.
"What?" Red then facepalmed in disgust. "Seriously?"
"I'm being serious. A new region was recently established just before the Manolo Conference was announced, they have called it the "Imaru Region." Kukui stated.
Red just stood there and asked what was so interesting about the new region, knowing it'll be all the same, it wouldn't make a difference, gym or trial, battle or catching, it doesn't change.
"The Imaru Region has one of the hottest beaches and resorts to be ever implemented! Though Alola has much more better locations, I would still recommend it." Kukui biasly explained as the raven-haired boy raised a question. "And how is that supposed to help me?"
"Cousin, you need a rest." He immediately went to the point as Red nonchalantly kept the same gaze. "You've been doing it for 17 years, it's the best time for you to take a rest."
"You say that as if I was an old man grasping onto his last years." He said as he averted his gaze on his rusty Pokeball. "But you're probably right, I just need to think this through with a nice vacation."
"Though, I'm not getting that vacation without finishing what I have to do."
"Haha, of course cousin." The Professor chuckled as the champion rested his back on the fine wall and structure of Kukui's lab.
Suddenly, Red stopped resting and narrowed his brows at Kukui with a questioned face, he was going to ask about scanning himself in case he had any sort of "problems" .
"Professor?"
"Yes?"
"I want you to run a scan on me."
"Why so?"
"I want to see if something's wrong with me."
Kukui looked at Red with a questioned face, wondering what he meant by that, though Red just insisted, Kukui was reluctant but was still wondering about what the champion meant by something wrong with him.
"Yeah, I guess I have to explain some things." Red stated, "After I watched a few moments of Zinnia's match against May, I was heading out of the conference until some figure started mentioning of how it's me." Red explained as Kukui didn't get what he meant by "It's me."
Red wasn't surprised and rolled his eyes as Kukui and himself entered back into the lab, passing by Lillie and Lusamine as the mother starts teasing her daughter about a certain raven-haired boy, causing her to blush in embarassment.
Kukui and Red head to a room where the champion sat down as Kukui started to set up the scanner.
After a few minutes, the scanner was already ready to be used as the Professor visibly hovered the scanner on Red from head to toe, causing the scanner to cause a beeping noise, Kukui widening his eyes.
"What the..?" Kukui muttered as the raven-haired boy sat there in question.
"What is it, Professor?" Red asked Kukui, who was still shocked by the results of the scanning.
"You have aura!" Kukui exclaimed in surprise as Red was still questioning his sudden exclamations.
"Yeah, I knew that, so what?" He asked as Kukui was still shocked, "No, this is different.."
"You can do many things a regular aura guardian can't.." Kukui explained and he continued, "You can talk to Pokemon, you can use your aura as weapons as a certain type of power, and even understand what your Pokemon says!" Kukui finished as Red stood there.
