When I was fourteen- or at least when human me was fourteen, my Mom and I got into an argument. It was something stupid, like I kissed a boy and wasn't 'old enough' or I wanted to go on a class trip to New York City. Anyway, the general outcome of it was that I was sent to my room and forced to 'think about what I had done.' Everyone in that situation knows they're not supposed to just think, but come out of that room with a smile and whole different perspective on life.
That was basically what was happening now, but with a lot more chains.
I was sitting in a chair, with thick metal clasps attached to my wrists with chains leading from it to the ground. The brothers didn't bother binding my feet, though, because encasing the unnecessary Devil's Trap that I sat in the middle of was a ring of holy fire.
Was I a danger to society, now that I've killed a vampire and two angels that have both tried to murder me? After telling Sam and Dean what I had done, they knocked me out not too soon later and I woke up like this- chained and caged as if I was about to do a Lucifer and kill the entire East Coast.
"Fucking ridiculous," I muttered, trying to break away from the chains so that I would at least have some breathing space. But, no such luck. With a heavy sigh, I rolled my head back and shut my eyes.
"Jade."
I didn't even have to open my eyes to know who I was talking to from across the flames. "Of course they called you. Castiel, what am I doing here?"
"You killed two angels, Jade-"
"That were trying to either kill me or take me into Heaven! And by how you've been acting about it recently, I'd probably want to be dead if I ever got sent back up there anyway." I finally opened my eyes to stare at my brother through the holy fire.
"And you stole someone's grace! Do you understand that?" I was slightly taken aback at the amount of emotion Castiel was portraying. "We don't kill each other. We've got enemies to do that for us."
I rose my eyebrows and squeezed my fists together. "You say that as if I'm on a team, Castiel. Well brother, it's been a long time since I've been on the side of the angels, and I think I have pretty valid reasons as to why I'm not so keen on rejoining." He didn't reply, so I sighed. "Look, at least take me out of these chains. They're unnecessary, I can't cross holy fire anyway."
"Neither can I."
"Then get Sam or Dean."
Castiel tightened his jaw, annoyed. "Sam and Dean are out. Looking for your grace so you don't die from prolonged exposure to this one."
I guess that was his attempt at making me feel guilty, but I just laughed at his ignorance. "Hon, there's no reason why Sam and Dean should be looking for my grace. I already know where it is, and I've tried to tell you but you just keep popping back to the promised land before I've had the chance to finish."
He crossed his arms across his chest. My attitude was obviously very unwelcome, but I didn't care. I saw no actual reason to chain me up and cage me like I'm some sort of psychopath. "Who is it with, then?"
"Crowley."
Castiel creased his eyebrows and opened his mouth to respond, but the voice that came out was definitely not his.
"The King of Hell has your angel juice?" Dean came into view, walking into whatever room I was subjected to with his brother in tow. Dean looked pissed (yet, what's new?), but Sam actually looked sympathetic toward my...erm, predicament.
I scoffed at the oldest Winchester's comment. "More like the Pain of my Ass. Crowley somehow upgraded from a measly crossroads demon who kidnapped little teenaged girls and tortured them into angels to the bloody Devil. I want his head on a pike."
