"Nghhhhhhh...," you groaned, sighing as the sunlight hit your eyes. You smiled softly, remembering the feeling of the bright and warm light of the sun hitting your skin. Then you opened your eyes.

You could feel sorrow fill your heart. The sound of screams and explosions flooding your ears once you remembered where you were. That's right. You were still here. Glancing around you remembered you had come outside to take a nap. You were starting to grow sick of the color red.

You didn't move, just sitting there in silence as you listened to the noises that filled the air. You hated it. But you knew what you and Charlie were doing is good. If you could make the best out of your current situation that would be enough. And you were trying.

You glanced up as you heard the door that led the hotel to its garden open. You didn't move from the garden chair, having reclined it to a very comfortable angle, letting your body relax, which wasn't a very common occurrence. Your arms were draped over your middle, and one of your legs was folded under the other.

The footsteps began to approach you, and you knew that unless they were looking for you, the person probably wouldn't see you as you. The flower bushes made a lovely arch that concealed you, yet allowed the sunlight to shine onto your skin.

You didn't make a noise when they stopped, merely gazing lazily through the small gaps in the bush to see who it was. When you saw who it was, you were kind of surprised. You didn't expect to see him here.

You didn't make a move to say something, or make your presence noticed as you closed your eyes and lazily turned your head forward again, the heavy feeling in your limbs relaxing as the unnatural red light washed down upon your skin. Of course, this didn't stop you from flinching when you saw him jump out of the corner of your eye when he realized you were there. You couldn't help the small smile that crossed your face when you scared him, even when you weren't trying to. You weren't sadistic but that didn't mean you couldn't enjoy the small things.

"What the fuck? What're you doin out here?" the slightly raspy voice said. You didn't move for a quiet moment, but you managed to tilt your head in Husk's direction, your heavy eyelids opening slightly, a lazy smile crossing your face. You simply hummed, questioning him. "What?," you spoke in a quiet whisper, not wanting to disturb the relaxed and sleepy state you were currently in.

Your voice was deeper than normal, your sleepy state affecting the energy and effort normally put in your speaking. Husk stayed quiet for a moment, his guard going down as he realized just how out of it you were. If anything you should be the one on guard, especially with how vulnerable you were, and even though he knew he wouldn't hurt you even if he wanted to, even if he could, you didn't know that. And then he began to wonder just how crazy you were. Or how powerful you were to be able to relax like this.

If he was being honest, you were nothing like Charlie. Where she was outgoing and vocal, you were more reserved, letting her do all of the talking for the both of you, only cutting in when things began to get out of hand. It was something he noticed when the stupid red deer brought him here, Charlie immediately getting all up in his face while you hung back, just giving him that apologetic smile. A smile he could tell spent a lot of time on your face judging by the pretty good understanding of your dynamic he got within the first five minutes upon your meeting.

Looking at you now he could tell something was... off. He wasn't sure what, or whether it was a good or bad thing, but as he looked through your normally guarded exterior to this sleepy, dazed, worry free person, he realized how different you were from your dad. Or your sister. On any regular day, you seemed more like your mom Lilith than your dad. Even then the air around you was different, as well as your mood and attitude. He wasn't sure how to feel about that.

You sat up as he looked at you through slightly narrowed eyes, confusion and a storm of several other emotions evidently clear in his face. You just smiled, resting your hands in your lap as you gestured to the seat next to you, any reserves or guards you might have had, you would normally have seemed to have completely dissipated. Husk looked at you, then the seat next to you, then the trail he came from and back. He took a deep breath in, wondering whether or not he should take it before you spoke up.

"Husk?," you asked, wondering if he felt uncomfortable around you or if he was like this with everyone. After a few more moments he went and sat beside you, adjusting his wings to rest more comfortably as he sat. You didn't say anything, sitting back at the elevated angel your chair had been positioned in. Husk's gaze remained on your for a few more seconds before he hesitantly leaned back in the chair.

He continued to glance at you every so often, observing you. His guard remained up, not because he didn't trust you (because he doesn't trust you), but because he had learned from all his time down here that if you wanted to survive you couldn't let your guard down. You let out a sigh, turning to look at him as you felt his gaze on you.

He looked away, alarmed. As he looked back up at the red sky he began to wonder if you had been offended in some way, and what you would do to him if you were. His mind began to race with panicked thoughts of everything that could happen because oh god, they're Lilith's kid, oh god they're Lucifer's kid, oh god they're the kid of the literal devil holy shit what kind of things are they going to do to him and- "Are you ok?"

Husks eyes widened, turning his head to look at you. As his eyes met your droopy ones, he saw an emotion he hadn't seen anyone direct towards him in a long time. "... What?" He internally slapped himself for saying something so incredibly stupid in a situation like this. You hesitated for a second, watching his movements that practically screamed the windows shutdown noise before speaking up again. "Are you ok?," you asked, a little louder in volume this time.

That's when a single thought crossed his mind.

Holy shit they're serious-
