This was it. This was the moment. Neither can live while the other survives. Either he would die or Voldemort would die. It was as simple as that. Harry faced Voldemort, wand at the ready. He was confident now, he had seen Voldemort's reaction and he knew the snake was dead. Now, Voldemort would die too. They met spells, red meeting green. Harry's spell advanced quickly. He knew it was going to happen. For some reason, he didn't want to watch it. At the moment when the spell rebounded, Harry closed his eyes. He heard a scream, but it sounded female. Harry opened his eyes and saw Voldemort still standing in front of him. He was looking at the ground in front of him, and when Harry looked down, he saw not the body of Voldemort, but Bellatrix Lestrange. She had blocked the rebounding curse. Unfortunately, Harry took a second too long, and when he looked up at Voldemort, it was too late. He saw a flash of green light, and everything was gone.

Narcissa had finally found Draco. He was in an abandoned corridor of the castle, not fighting. She had arrived at the great hall just in time to see the Weasley woman kill Rodolphus and get killed by Bellatrix. Narcissa didn't know what caused it, but felt a sinking feeling as she watched Bellatrix near the doorway to the courtyard where Voldemort and Harry had just landed. She saw Lucius run to her and Draco, and they hid under one of the sideways house tables. Narcissa watched as Voldemort and Harry faced each other. She knew what was going to happen before it did. The spell was going to rebound and kill Voldemort. Before it could happen, Narcissa saw Bellatrix run toward them.

"BELLA, NO!" Narcissa screamed, but she didn't stop. Narcissa had to watch as Bellatrix reached them and threw herself in front of Voldemort as the curse rebounded. She screamed when it hit her before she fell to the ground.

"NO!" Narcissa screamed again. Voldemort looked up at Harry and blasted him with a killing curse. His body exploded into ashes. Slowly, the fighting stopped. Narcissa tried to run out from behind the table, but Lucius held her back.

"You can't go out there." he said. Narcissa struggled, tears streaming down her face.

"But she's my sister! I have to go to her!" she finally managed to break free and run out to the courtyard. Voldemort hadn't moved since he killed Harry. He was just staring down at Bellatrix. Narcissa fell on her knees and wrapped her arms around Bellatrix. After a moment, she heard Lucius come up behind her and put his hand on her shoulder.

"I can bring her back." Voldemort's words made Narcissa look up. He was also kneeling next to Bellatrix.

"How?" was all Narcissa could say.

"I made her make a horcrux. I had a feeling she'd try to do something stupid like this." he answered. "Her soul is bound to the Earth by the horcrux. I can return her to her body with a potion made of unicorn blood and Nagini's venom." he stopped.

"But Nagini was killed by the Longbottom boy." Narcissa choked through her tears.

"Her venom is still useful. If we crush one of her fangs over the unicorn blood, it should be enough to properly make the potion." He looked up at the death eaters who were gathered.

"Rabastan! Go kill a unicorn in the forest and bring it to me. Use a killing curse so it doesn't lose too much blood. Lucius! Go find Nagini's head and bring it to me." Lucius hesitated.

"I should stay with Narcissa." he said.

"Send your son, then." Voldemort sounded exasperated. Draco hurried off toward the castle, while Rabastan headed toward the forest.

"He's right, you know." said a voice Narcissa never thought she'd hear again. "I'm still here." Narcissa gasped and looked around. Bellatrix was standing behind her, but not Bellatrix. She was more then a ghost, but not fully alive.

"Bella!" Narcissa gasped. Bellatrix walked toward her.

"Did you really think I could die that easily?" Narcissa began to cry again.

"Don't cry, Cissy. I'll be fine once I'm reunited with my body." As she said that, Draco ran back out to the courtyard, holding Nagini's head at arms length like it could still bite him. He had already given it to Voldemort before he noticed Bellatrix. He jumped violently.

"Merlin's beard!" he shouted. "Aunt Bellatrix?" Bellatrix rolled her eyes.

"It's called a horcrux, dear nephew." she said, her voice thick with sarcasm. They looked up when Rabastan came back dragging a dead unicorn. He laid it next to Nagini's severed head. Voldemort pulled a potion bottle from in his robes. He collected blood from the wound in the unicorn's neck, then pulled out one of Nagini's fangs and crushed it over the bottle. Narcissa noticed that he could touch the venom without being harmed. The potion turned pure black. She missed the moment it happened. She was too busy watching Bellatrix's, well, ghost, for want of a better word. But Voldemort must've given it to her, because Bellatrix vanished. Narcissa turned to her sister's body, holding her breath. After a long moment, Bellatrix gasped, then started breathing normally. Her eyes opened, and she propped herself up on her elbows.

"Hello, Cissy." she said, laughing slightly. "Did you miss me?" Narcissa flung her arms around Bellatrix and started sobbing again.

"It's ok, Cissy. I'm not going to leave you." Narcissa didn't want to let Bellatrix go, but after a while, she sat back, wiping her tears. Bellatrix turned to Voldemort, who seemed to be mentally fighting with himself. Finally, he seemed to give in to whatever he was fighting against and, to everyone's shock and amazement, he wrapped his arms around Bellatrix. When he let her go, he seemed rather freaked out by what he did. Bellatrix stood up.

"So? How about we go finish off those mudbloods?"

I told you I wasn't dead!
