(Y/N) POV
I woke up on the floor feeling rested and warm. Sunlight flooded through the house from the big window by the bed, basking Bad and I in a soft warm light.
Wait...
Bad and I?!
I flushed red as I remembered what had happened. Bad had fallen asleep while I was hugging him, and I had accidentally toppled over the chair.
Bad (still) had his arms around me and was snoring peacefully. I sighed and pried his arms off of me.
I sat up and rubbed the sleep out of my eyes. What time is it?
I then realized that I didn't have my phone on me, and there didn't seem to be a clock anywhere. I didn't even know if time worked the same way in this world.
I got up and climbed onto the bed, looking out the window...and nearly threw up.
Below was a huge drop... it seemed as if the house was situated on top of a mountain.
I reeled back, holding my stomach. No offense to Bad, but who builds a house on a mountain?
I didn't have a fear of heights, or else I would've passed out while falling from the sky, but I did have a brand new paranoia of being in a heavy and slightly unstable structure that could suddenly topple over the edge and kill me.
I counted backwards from one hundred to slow my breathing and attempt to ignore the fact that I was in a house...on a mountain.
"(Y/N), you good--?"
"AGHHH!" I shrieked, turning my head around so fast I almost got whiplash.
"Oh my gosh, stop freaking out!" Bad screeched back.
"AAAHHHH!"
"AAAHHHH!"
We stared at each other for a moment, then burst into laughter. Bad fell over sideways on the floor in laughter, and I rolled around on the bed, giggling my head off.
After we'd calmed down, I was gasping for air and Bad was hiccuping from laughing so hard.
I took a deep breath, then giggled some more. I calmed my breathing, but my eyes were watering and my chest was tight.
Bad grinned and held out a hand, and I accepted it, letting him pull me up.
"Well, are you hungry? I can make something," he said.
I wiped my eyes and nodded. "Yes please," I replied.
He went over to his wall of furnaces, and I expected him to have a mini fridge somewhere with food in it, but instead he tapped the inside of his left forearm with his right hand, and a giant virtual square popped up in front of him. My mouth dropped.
"Wh-what the heck is that?!" I stammered in surprise, jumping to my feet and pointing at the simulated square.
Bad frowned. "What, this? This is my Inventory."
Of course, I thought. If this world was supposedly Minecraft, then it would only make sense for people to have an Inventory.
"So... You just tap your left arm to open your inventory?" I asked.
"Yup," he replied.
I frowned. "Do you think I have one?"
He scrunched up his face as he contemplated this. "Maybe," he said doubtfully. "You can try."
I stuck out my left arm and tapped it with my right hand. Nothing.
"Um, I think you have to--"
I jumped as the same big square popped up in front of me. I gasped and examined it, trying to get behind it, but it followed me wherever I went, making it impossible to see from behind.
All of the squares in mine were empty unlike Bad's, whose inventory was full of tools, food, and blocks.
There was a little replica of me above the boxes, just like in the game. I laughed and started moving, watching the mirrored image copy my movements.
"This is so cool!" I exclaimed, running around, the square following me.
"Here, I can give you some of my stuff, I have loads," Bad said, walking over and standing right next to me so our Inventories were almost touching.
Bad reached out with his arm and tapped on a square that had an image of a cooked slab of meat and the number 64 under it, just like how it would be in the game.
Keeping his finger on the square, he leaned to the side, even closer to me, our Inventories now overlapping. He swiped the cooked meat into my Inventory, unlike how I thought he'd do it, just dropping it on the floor like in the game.
"Woah!" I exclaimed. "So you can transfer items by just swiping it into another person's inventory? That's so cool! And weird!"
Bad laughed. "Yeah, basically. Here, have some more of my stuff!" He swiped a diamond pickaxe, sword, and axe into my Inventory, as well as full diamond armor. My eyes widened. "How do you have so much stuff?! That's amazing!"
His dark cheeks became dusted with pink a little bit. "Ah, well I haven't died in a while, so I've been able to gather plenty of resources," he explained, walking over to one of his chests and opening it. A square that looked like an Inventory showed up, and my jaw dropped to the floor when I saw just how much stuff was in it. At least eighty diamonds, wood, crafting tables, coal, tools, ender pearls, and like five sets of armor.
"Yeah, we have all the stuff we need to beat the Ender Dragon, this'll be easy," Bad said to himself, taking out a full set of diamond armor and tools and giving them to himself, as well as 64 cooked mutton and a water bucket. He then gave me some wood and dirt, and each of us a few ender pearls. "All we need are ender eyes. We have everything else. Okay! I think we're ready to go!" He turned around, the chest closing on it's own.
"W-wait, we're going right now?" I screeched, then covered my mouth. "Sorry. That was loud."
He tilted his head, making the fluffy black hair on his head bounce a little bit. "Do you not want to go right now? I mean, of course, we don't have to if you're not ready--"
"Uh- no, let's just go, actually," I replied, glancing out the window and realizing how high this house was above the ground.
Bad grinned, his pearl-colored eyes twinkling. "Great! Ender Dragon, here we come!"Sorry that was kind of a boring chapter it was mostly explanatory but THEY'RE GOING ON THEIR EPIC QUEST TO BEAT MINECRAFT so things are about to get a lot more interesting :) hope you're liking the story so far!
