It was so sweet. So intoxicating. Venti could never get enough of your kisses, he wanted more— no, needed more.
He parted his lips from yours to catch his breath, then quickly dove back in. His hands cupped your head, pulling you closer to taste your luscious lips again.
But his heart tugged in guilt.
This was so wrong.
Yet, his mind was too focused on holding you close to him, never wanting to let go. You pushed his shoulders away to regain your eupnea, too breathless to even comprehend what was going on. Your cheeks were so warm and flushed from the kiss. Your heart was beating so fast you could almost hear it ringing in your ears.
Your hands clenched tightly on his shoulders as you averted your eyes from him— too embarrassed to speak or even peek at him.
Venti panted and rested his forehead against yours, admiring your disheveled state from the heated kiss. He ran a knuckle along your cheek, caressing it as he gazed at you so lovingly. A gentle smile tugged at his lips as he breathed in the sweet, intoxicating scent of the Cecilias wafting around you.
I'm not supposed to be doing this.
You looked up at the bard with a puzzled, dazed expression. He seemed lost in thought, his gaze absently tracing your features. You pressed your hands to his cheeks, pulling him out of his abstract world.
Your hands were so cold.
He placed his palm over yours and leaned in once more, pausing just before his lips could touch yours. You could feel his warm breath and hear the soft exhale as he drew closer.
Venti's fringe covered his eyes, making it hard to tell what aspect was currently plastered on him. Swallowing down your nerves, you leaned in and closed your eyes, bridging the gap between you both.
I shouldn't be doing this.
You had just recently woken up from your eternal slumber. How long had it been since he last saw your merry [eye color] eyes? Since he last saw you dancing along with the winds, accompanied by the strums of the lyre? When he felt the winds lull his ears with a familiar tune, he knew it was a sign for him to return to Stormterror's Lair.
He immediately dashed to the place where you had been kept, preserving your youthfulness and extending your lifespan. Beneath the broken spire, that's where you rested. With the help of the former Dendro Archon's powers and his own Anemo abilities, it was remarkable how their combined skills preserved your beauty and life.
Receiving the message from the breeze of Mondstadt made his heart flutter and brought a big smile to his face. He had waited so long to see your eyes open, and now he wanted to be the first to see you and meet your loving gaze.
Just like the way you had looked at him back then.
Seeing you sitting idly on the grass, surrounded by cecilias and dandelions, was an enchanting sight. The brilliant full moon cast its light over you, making the petals of the cecilias glow more brightly than ever.
The Anemo sigils faded away as he twirled his fingers, releasing the seals that had protected you from harm. This caught your attention, as you hadn't noticed there was another presence besides your own. You froze, and your [eye color] eyes flickered when you saw the familiar face of the bard.
