Time skip to 2 days later
Roman POV
My alarm goes off and it's 6:55. Ughhh I have to go back to school. Fuck. I get up and make my way to the bathroom. I wash my face, brush my teeth, put concealer over my freckles and eye bags, and fix my hair.
I walk out of the bathroom and check the clock. It's 7:10. I hear clattering in the kitchen and notice Remus isn't in his bed.
I head to my closet and pick our light blue ripped jeans, a white t-shirt, and a red bomber jacket. I change and head downstairs to see Remus and Rosie in the kitchen. I walk over to the kitchen and get tackled into a hug by Rosie.
"Good morning RoRo!!" She says with her signature smile from ear to ear.
"Good morning Princess." I say picking her up and putting her in the chair next to the island.
"Good morning...Ree?" I say and I look at Remus. He looks he hasn't slept.
I walk over to him and he's cooking eggs for Rosie I assume because he's allergic.
"Ree look at me." I say and he looks over slowly at me with tired and swollen eyes. He has tear stains on the side of his face. He's been crying.
"Bad night?" I ask and he leans down and rests his head on my shoulder. I slowly hug him not wanting the scare him. When he's sleepy he gets scared and agitated easily.
"Ree go lay down on the couch. Did you take your meds yet?" I ask and he slowly nods his head. I walk with him to the couch and sit down with him.
"I have school today. Are you gonna be ok?" He shrugs and lays down.
"Ok I'm gonna call Lola."  I say as I head towards the door. I hear Remus start to snore. Poor guy.
"Rosie! Papas upstairs if you need anything. Lola should be here in 5 minutes. You know the rules." I say walking towards the door. I pick up my backpack and water.
"I know RoRo Love you!!"
"Love you too." I say and shut the door.
Time skip
Roman called Lola on the way to school.
I walk back into school and see Emile walking by.
"Hey Emile!" I yell and he turns to me a little shocked. He looks sad. He's got a gray hoodie on with regular blue jeans. He's still got his cool backpack though.
"Hey Roman welcome back to hell." He says with a smile pushing his circular glasses up.
"Glad to be back. I'm sorry to cut short but I have to go turn in all my late work to my teachers. I'll see you at lunch though right?"
"Yeah totally. Good luck dude." Emile says and kinda slumps down his posture as I walk away. I'm worried about him.
After turning in his work.
Time skip to lunch cause I'm lazy.
I looked around the lunch room seeing literally no one. Until, I spotted that light blonde hair with frosted pink tips.
"Hey Emile!" I said and he turned around and his face lit up.
"Hey Ro! Come sit." I walk over and see Dante and Virgil sitting at the table with Emile.
"Hey Ro." Virgil says brushing the hair out of his eyes.
"Hey Virge. Hi Dante." I say and sit down next to Emile.
"How was your first day back?"
"It was ok. I'm just tired. We had an incident last night and Reggie had to go get his prayer handle fixed. God he's numb." I say taking out the thermos from my bag. I hear whispers and I look up. All 3 boys look at me super confused.
"Your brothers religious?"
"He's numb is he ok?"
"I didn't understand a single word you said." The guys start to bombard me with questions.
"I forgot I'm not in Maine anymore. Sorry it's just Maine slang." I say taking a sip of soup Remus made me.
"So what does that mean?" Emile asks.
"Oh yeah! My brother feel down the stairs and hurt his knee." I explain.
"And he's numb?" Dante questions.
"Oh that means he's stupid." I say and get a chuckle out of the 3.
"Can you tell us more slang?" Virge asks giving a sly smirk.
"Yeah sure."
"So theres gawmy which means clumsy.
Italians which are sub sandwiches.
From away which means not from Maine. So you all are from away.
Bug which means lobster.
Crittah which is any animal with fur.
Ayuhh which means yes."
"Wait was that one?" Virgil stops me.
"Ayuhh it means yes." I say smiling.
"I love that. I might use that one." Virgil says smiling.
"Is there any Florida terms that I don't know of?" I ask and Dante smiles and Virgil rolls his eyes.
"Dante knows every fuckin one of them." Virgil says taking another bite of his sandwich.
"There's no see ums which are bugs people can't see.
Jit which is kid or anyone younger than you.
We're parked in goofy which is we parked far away from our destination.
Wicked up or wasted-"
As Dante explains something is slammed on the table. We look up and see Derek and his goons.
"Hello freaks." Derek says in his stupid voice.
"Ahhh~ I see Prince Charming is back in school. What a nice hair you got Prince Charming it would be ashamed if something.." He picks up my soup and pours it all on my head.
"Happened to it.." He says and he starts to laugh and so does all his goons.
"Aww looks like Prince Charmings gonna cry. Ya gonna cry Princess. Ya need a tissue." He gets in my face. I can hear his breathing on my neck.
I turn towards him and grab his neck forcing his head into the table and sweep his legs out from under him with my foot.
He falls to the ground and his goons start to laugh.
"Dude you just got beaten up by a freak." One of his goons say and he gets up holding his bloody nose.
"This isn't over faggot." He says and walks away from our table.
"Stupid fucking numb bugger." I mumble to myself as I sit back down at the table calming myself down.
I look up and see the 3 looking at me.
"Waht? (That's how it's pronounced in Maine)
"That's was fucking ballsy dude." Dante says
"I fear for your life dude." Virgil says.
"That's was awesome!" Emile says with a smile from ear to ear.
"Dude this could be really good or horribly bad for you." Dante says.
"Why?" I ask
"Last time someone hurt Derek they ended up in the hospital later on." Virgil says and looks at me worried.
