HAZEL
The day to go to Valdez came so fast that I don't actually remember what happened in the past few weeks. But it doesn't really matter right?
We were all ready to leave for the airport; I was so excited to go there with Maya. We reached the airport in about 45 minutes.
"Our flight has been delayed." Dad proclaimed.
"Ugh." I sighed. We were already 2 hours early because it was an international trip, and now the flight is postponed! My dad says that it takes time to check in and all, especially for an international flight. I don't think so 'cause half the time we are sitting; doing nothing. My parents keep yakking the same things when we get to the airport; they say something about safety but I never pay attention as I'm in my own world.
These were like the longest 4 hrs of my life. We just sat and sat and sat and sat and did nothing.
........
We reached Valdez and it was already 8 PM . We quickly booked a cab . During the ride I was looking out of the window, everything was looking pleasing.
We arrived at the resort in around 20 minutes. The resort was shockingly so huge; the lobby was itself as big as my house. It had big runners and carpets of contrasting colors. It had a reception counter on the left and a sitting area on the right. Beside the sitting area, there was one bookshelf which contained some books and magazines.
THE RESORT
We collected our master keys from the receptionist and hurried to our rooms. I unlocked my room's door which I was going to share with Maya. We entered the room and started exploring it. The room too was very huge and seemed cozy. We had a really soft double bed with a side table, our bedroom had a big balcony with a snow side view.
