𝘥𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘮𝘦 𝘰𝘳 𝘩𝘦𝘳?

First day at reseda~

Yuriko helped her mom with the bags. "Mom these bags..are so heavy." Yuriko complained.

"Come let me help you carry these ones they are not that heavy." Her mom Rosette said.

Yuriko was Japanese American. She always had a hard time in her schools..for being Japanese in America.

Which is one of the other reasons they moved to get a fresh start other than her mom getting a job.

Daniel looked at the new neighbors from across the street. "Daniel those are ya new neighbors why don't you go help them. I also heard she has a daughter around your age maybe you can show her around reseda a bit."

"Ma! Oh your totally teasing me." He said in his New Jersey accent. "Haha but it's funny~ but ain't she pretty? Remind me of kumiko."

Daniel looked down when his mom mentioned her. He couldn't see her because she was in Japan. "Ma you didn't have to mention her." He said.

"Sorry—I just thought." Daniel nodded no. "It's fine ma you didn't know. Anyway I'll help her out." His mom smiled. "Ah~ that a spirit." His mother said in her accent.

Daniel crossed the street and walked in at the entrance of the building since the gate was open. "Hi Im Daniel from across the street."

Yuriko looks over at him and smiles. "Hello Daniel from across the street~" he laughs with a bit of redness on cheek. "Welcome to reseda." Daniel said.

"Thanks nice to meet you I'm yuriko" he smiled. "You have such a pretty name." He said scratching his head a bit. "Oh thank you."

"Are you by chance Japanese?" He asked. "Yes I'm from America though. Japanese American!" He smiled. "That's what I thought because you have a perfect accent."

"Yes I was born here." She said smiling. Daniel took her luggage and helped her. "Oh no no you don't have to do that." She said. "Oh no it's my pleasure. Also what if I showed you reseda a bit? Since your new here."

"Oh I wouldn't mind that sure." She said smiling. "Okay awesome." He said. Yuriko walked up the stairs with Daniel to her apartment. She opened the door and Daniel helped her carry in the luggage.

"My who's this?" Her mother ask her looking over that the brown skin boy with dark black hair and khaki pants with a button up blue skirt. "It's Daniel from across the street." She said laughing.

Daniel looked to the side embarrassed but then decided to shake it off and shake rosettes hands. "Nice to meet you..ms..?"

"Oh you can call me ms rosette." She said smiling warmly at the boy. "I hope you don't mind I want to show your daughter around reseda a little bit tomorrow.."

Rosette smirked at rosette. "Ah? Is that so? No I don't mind at all I'm sure it will be a good time for the both of you?" Rosette teased.

"Alright mommm." Yuriko said. "Okay well I see you tomorrow how's that sound?" Daniel said.

"Oh yeah sure see you Daniel!"

"Bye yuriko see you tomorrow."
