Yuriko had overheard kumiko and Daniels conversation. She smiled sadly, "I guess we really are just friends..I shouldn't get my hopes up why did I even agree to go to Japan with him if this was gonna happen.."
As she ran away she knocked something down causing both kumiko and Daniel to look back and Daniel saw yuriko run away and got up. "I gotta go!" He said following yuriko.
"Yuriko wait come back!" Daniel said chasing after her. "And why should I?" She asked trying not to cry but her tears were just flowing out at this point.
"What's wrong yuriko? Please stop for a minute.." he said stopping and breathing a bit heavy from all that running he just did.
She stopped and sighed. "What?" She asked looking down. "Look at me."
He said.
She slowly turned her face to look at him. "Did you hear everything?" He asked. "Yeah I heard it all..you made me feel so special and yet all I am is a friend to you.."
"But your right we did just meet so maybe I don't have a right to feel this way right now but maybe I really really like you so hearing that I'm just a friend hurts..."
"Look..just because I said that doesn't mean anything. Yes you might just be a friend for right now but later we could be so much more if you give me the chance to know you more..because I want to get to know you I want to know who you are yuriko."
"I thought you loved her..do you love me or her?"
"Honestly...I love you."
