NatVerse: Alice Angel

The Mission Chapter 5

"Leo!" Alice quickly sat up in bad, after having a nightmare. She glanced over at Artemis, who is in his rabbit form. He was looking up at her, startled. Alice looked terrified.

"Alice, what's wrong?" Artemis asked her. He could tell that she saw something. But what did she see?

"Something's wrong with Leo. I-I can feel it.." Alice got out of bed, and quickly walked to her closet, opening it up, and grabbing a change of clothes, so she can change out of her pajamas. 

"What do you mean?" Artemis tilted his head at the young girl. He didn't think anything was wrong.

"I don't know. But I can sense something is wrong." Alice said, before climbing out of her bedroom window, Artemis following her closely.

Eventually they made their way to Leo's house. They got inside quietly, and immediately went up to Leo's room. Alice slowly, and quietly, opened Leo's bedroom door. She then saw him, laying on the floor, unconscious. Alice's eyes widened with fear and worry, as she then ran to him. Artemis followed Alice to Leo.

"He is just...just unconscious.." Alice said before placing a hand on Leo's forehead. She then froze the moment her skin touched his. Her eyes then began glowing white. Artemis looked to Alice. Once her eyes were normal again, she looked back at him.

"What is it? I haven't seen you do that in a long time..." Artemis was worried.

"Someone took his abilities. I saw his most recent memories. A girl dressed in a black..." Alice stood up, before looking down. "I've seen that girl before. I know it.."

"Who is she? Do you know her name?" Artemis asked, as he stood up with her, now in his human form. Alice nodded, then slowly looked up at Artemis.

"She said her name is Ace Jameson.." Alice spoke with a serious tone. Who is that girl? She had watched Alice during her first year during this magic hero gig. Artemis's face softened. Alice noticed the change in Artemis's expression. "What?" she asked him.

Artemis let out a soft chuckle, "We have a new mission now. Scarlett told me about this secret mission that Nat gave her and Ace.." Artemis said, looking down at Leo.

"And what was that mission?" Alice asked.

"Nat told Ace and Scarlett that he would be that last one to be awakened. He also put his abilities into Leo.." Artemis looked at Alice. "Which means, Ace and Scarlett must've found Nat or Elijah figured out what Nat did." Artemis walked over to Leo's bedroom window, and looked at the moon in the sky.

"What did Nat do...?" Alice asked, watching Artemis walk to the window. She was confused.

"He revived you and everyone else, to protect you all from Elijah" Artemis looked back at Alice.

Alice nodded, understanding now. 

"But you said we have a new mission?" Alice tilted her head to the side as she asked.

"We have to bring Leo back home. To Valkeraine. Back to his real parents" Artemis said, as he walked over to Leo and picked him up.

"What? But, I thought it wasn't time for us to return home.." Alice said, with a ton of confusion in her voice.

"Just Leo. Scarlett said that once Ace retrieves Nat's abilities from Leo, we must bring him home" Artemis said, looking down at Alice. 

"Wait but, how will we get there? We need Leo to make a portal..." Alice shook her head slowly as she spoke. 

"I think I know a good friend who could help.." Artemis patted Alice on the head with his free hand. Alice nodded in response. 

Artemis then took Alice and Leo to the park. He sat Leo down on a bench and Alice stayed with him. 

"Alice, we need to contact Boss." Artemis said, looking at Alice. Alice nodded then held out her wrist, and then contacted Boss.

"Yes?" Boss asked.

"Boss, we need to bring Leo back. The mission has now begun." Artemis said. Alice looked over at the unconscious Leo beside her. 

"I am assuming that means that Leo is unable to create a portal now?" Boss asked.

"That is correct." Artemis said, with a nod.

"Ok, I can send someone. She will be where you are in a few minutes" Boss said before ending the call. Alice then put her wrist down.

"How come you never told me about this mission before?" Alice asked, looking up at Artemis.

"It was to protect you." Artemis looked back at Alice as he spoke. Alice nodded, she didn't like that answer, she knew there was a real reason why. But then, a portal appeared behind Artemis. Alice and Artemis both looked at the portal. A girl, who doesn't seem to be all that tall, walks out of the portal. She has tan skin, and long light brown hair, and soft brown eyes that glimmer in the light of the portal. She held a long golden staff, which had a purple gem on it, in her right hand.

"Hello, my name is Lucy Crystal, I was sent here to help you get to Valkeraine." The girl said, with a soft voice. Artemis nodded, and Alice stood up. "Oh, don't worry about introducing yourselves, I already know who you are" Lucy added. 

"Of course," Artemis said, before he picked up Leo.

"We should get going then" Lucy said, before walking into the portal, Artemis and Alice following closely behind her. 

They then appeared in a small city in Valkeraine. 

"Where are we?" Alice asked, looking around.

"Auburn City, this is where Leo's true family is" Lucy said, looking back at Alice. "Follow me, I shall bring you to their home" She said, before leading the way. Artemis and Alice both following her. Eventually they arrived at a medium sized house. Lucy walked up to the door, and gave it a knock. Artemis and Alice stood beside her. Eventually, a girl opened the door. She seemed to be in her mid 20's something. She had light brown hair, which was tied into twin braids.

"Um, hello?" The girl looked confused as to why there were three people, one holding a body, on her front porch.

"Hello, GiGi, is your brother, Link, home?" Lucy asked. GiGi then shook her head.

"No.. he died a few years ago trying to find his son..why?" GiGi was clearly confused.

"Well, we have his son, he was in the chapel. Along with Nat, and the others who were reborn." Lucy explained. GiGi looked at Artemis.

"Is that so?" GiGi asked Artemis. Artemis then nodded in response. GiGi then moved to the side, giving them room to come inside. Artemis sat Leo down on the couch. GiGi looked at Leo, and her face changed, "That really is his son.."

GiGi quickly looked up at the front door as it opened. Four people stood their. Lucy, Artemis, and Alice looked as well. One of the four, one of the two children, couldn't be older than 7. His hair was half black and half white, and his eyes were light blue. He quickly ran up to GiGi, "Auntie GiGi!" he called, hugging her.

GiGi knelt down and hugged the boy back. 

"We should get going.." Lucy said, looking at Alice and Artemis. Alice looked to the man with the white hair, and green eyes.

"Why do I feel like I know you?" She asked him. The man looked back at her too.

"I have no idea, but I feel that way as well." He said, before watching the three walk out. Well, Alice hesitated before walking out the door.

"Come here Carson.." The man said, before picking up the little boy.

Alice then quickly went to catch up with Artemis and Lucy, who seemed to have stopped. Alice looked to where they were looking. A girl, standing at about 5'8. Her hair fell just a bit under chin length, and it was light brown, but had dyed blue tips. And her eyes were a familiar blue. 

"Who is she?" Alice asked, slowly looking at Lucy and Artemis.

"My name is Kenna Jameson. For about 3 years now, you knew me as Boss" Kenna explained. Artemis looked over at Alice, before the two looked at Kenna again. "It is time for me to give you your final mission, it should take you a while before you complete it."

Alice nodded, she was ready to be assigned with this new mission, "what is it?"

"I need you and Artemis to go to the Angelious territory. The city of Dorsire. There you will find someone you once knew. But she managed to bring herself back from the dead, and you can learn that skill from her." Kenna explained the mission. "With her, you should also regain all your memories." She added. 

Alice nodded, "understood." she said, before looking at Artemis, who also nodded. Kenna nodded at the two, then she and Lucy went into a portal bringing them elsewhere. 

"Well, Alice, are you ready for your last mission?" Artemis asked Alice, looking down at her.

"I am, Artemis." Alice said, looking back up at Artemis. Artemis smiled at her, and nodded.

"Well then, let us go" Artemis said, before he and Alice began their way to where they were instructed to go.

Waiting in the city of Dorshire, a girl sits down on a bench, before a forest, of trees with colorful leaves. The girl's light brown hair is tight up into low buns. Her purple eyes glimmer as the light hits them. She smiled softly to herself, "I can't wait to see you once again, my mentee, Alice"

So uh later on in the main story, Alice will return. Now some of you may be like "uh dude, what about Leo??" dw he will come back, too. Now who the girl is, that Alice and Artemis are now going to see, her identity will be explain in The Jamesons, once i get that done lol. But yee, imma go work on the main story now. and the other ones- well bye bye))
