RAIAH tried to cover the dark circles under her eyes with a concealer. Napuyat kasi siya dahil sa kaba at excitement. Paano ay sa wakas tinanggap na rin ng Kelton ang application niya. Pagkagaling na pagkagaling niya sa penthouse ni Silver ay tinawagan kaagad siya ng HR department.

"I still wonder paano mo nagawang pumasok sa building kung nasaan ang penthouse niya. Mas lalong nagtataka ako paano mo nalaman kung saan siya nakatira," ani Vina habang nasa banyo sila ng coffee shop malapit sa Kelton.

They stopped by to grab some coffee. Kahit na halos mag-palpitate na siya dahil sa magkahalong kaba at excitement.

She applied some concealer to hide her eyebags. "I pulled some strings."

Vina smirked. "You mean you asked Ae's help?"

"Badtrip na rin siya so she helped me." Ngumisi siya. "It worked naman."

Vina laughed softly. "Paano kung matanggal siya sa work dahil doon?"

"Paalis naman na rin siya, eh."

Napakunot ng noo si Vina. "Aalis siya?"

She paused and looked at Vina. "Oo, 'di ba? Nakapasa siya doon sa program na para sa medics na ipapadala sa Afghanistan? Hindi ba niya sinabi sa'yo?"

Napairap sa kawalan ang kanyang kaibigan. "Hindi siguro sinabi sa akin dahil mabubuko ko kung bakit niya 'yon pinasok. Dahil na naman 'yan kay Shault! Naku, mamamatay dahil sa kamartiran 'yang gagang 'yan!"

Vina continued to rant. Hinayaan naman ni Raiah dahil sa totoo lang ay hindi rin siya sang-ayon sa mga pinaplano ng kaibigan nilang si Ae. She doesn't think people should be stupid because of love. Lest do decisions that can change the trajectory of their lives just because they found romance.

Ibinalik niya sa kanyang bag ang kanyang make-up pouch saka niya na niyaya si Vina na pumunta ng Kelton. Vina was assigned in the emergency room while she, unfortunately, was thrown to the department with the most number of resignation because of one man.

Dr. Silvester Kavinski. The so-called monster of Kelton Medical Center. He would often look people dead in the eye as if he's about to eat them alive. One mistake and his voice would thunder in the hallways like a God showing his wrath.

Raiah pressed the button. Hindi nagtagal ay bumukas ang pinto ng elevator. She was about to walk in when she realized that Silver was inside; leaning against the elevator wall in a bored way while his hands were buried in his pants' pockets.

Tinaasan siya nito ng kilay nang makitang naestatwa siya sa kanyang pwesto. Nang muntik sumara ang pinto ay pinindot nito ang buton saka nito sinilip ang suot na mamahaling relos.

His eyes slightly twitched. "You're about to be late on your first duty." He licked his lower lip then looked into her eyes in a cold way. "Someone's excited to get fired, hmm?"

Napalunok si Raiah. This is definitely not the same Silver she first saw at the pub. Mukhang totoo nga ang chismis. Nagiging ibang tao ito kapag nasa loob ng Kelton.

She inhaled a sharp breath then finally walked in. Bumalik naman ito sa pagkakasandal sa pader ng elevator.

Raiah cleared her throat. "T-Thank you . . . for finally letting me be part of Kelton--"

"One single mistake and you're out." His jaw slightly moved. "I don't care if you'd jump off a bridge or you'd slit your wrist once I fire your ass. One fucking mistake and I'd kick you out of Kelton. You heard me?"

Kinakabahan siyang tumango. "Y-Yes, Doc."

"Good."

Umayos ito ng tindig saka nito tinapik-tapik ang tuktok ng kanyang ulo na animo'y isa siyang paslit. Pagkabukas ng pinto ng elevator ay nauna na rin itong lumabas.

She inhaled a sharp breath before she followed him. She even watched Silver grace the hallway like a proud king who knows his place in the society. Halos tumigil ang tibok ng kanyang puso. Her eyes widened and her lips parted in shock as she watched the coffee stain his white coat.

"Oh God . . ." Nahihintakutan niyang tiningala si Silver. "D-Doc . . ."

His eyes squinted while his jaw clenched in a tight way. Halatang napitik niya kaagad ang pasensya nito kaya bago pa man siya nito masesante ay nagmamadali na siyang lumuhod.

"Sorry, sorry! Please, huwag muna! Huwag mo muna kong sesantihin! I'll do anything, please!"

Silver groaned. "Knock it off. Get the fuck up, Chavez."

Hinawakan niya ito sa binti. "Please, sorry! Sorry, sorry! I swear, I'll do anything!"

Kahit na anong sabihin ni Silver ay hindi siya tumayo hangga't hindi nito sinasabing hindi siya nito sesesantihin. She was already in the verge of crying when Silver went on one knee.

"Knock. It. Off," he said between gritted teeth as if he's about to lose his temper.

She sniffed. "Give me a chance, please. Magaling naman ako. Hindi ko naman sinasadyang matapunan damit mo. Please, I'll do anything."

Tumaas ang kilay nito. "Anything, hmm?" He looked around, making sure no one would hear them. "You sure you'll do everything to keep your job?" he asked in a bit sensual way.

Muli siyang suminghot. "Yes, Doc. Kahit ano, I swear. I'll . . ." She stared at the stain on his clothes. "I'll wash your clothes if you want."

Umismid ito saka tila nanunudyong hinawakan ang pendant niyang hugis puso. "Oh, you don't have to wash my clothes, Chavez." His fingertips lightly traveled down her chest, the sensation it gave her made the thing between her thigh throb because of something forbidden.

Napalunok siya habang nakatitig sa mga mata ni Silver. "W-What do you want me to do then?"

He sighed before he lowered his fingertips more down to the valley of her breasts. "You can take-off your clothes in the morgue with me instead . . ."

Napakurap siya. "S-Sa . . . morgue?"

"Yeah," he said in a breathy way before he finally stood up and towered her. "Told you. I'd just end up fucking you in every corner of this place . . ."
