Harry's POV

It was now a Saturday morning and the time had come to board the train and head back to the burrow for Christmas. I was in a really good mood this morning which needed little explanation. The train was to leave in the evening  so Hermione, Ron and I decided to have an early dinner to make sure we could get any last minute packing done allowing us to get down to the train on time. We were soon dragging our trunks to the station and left them in the pile which was to be loaded onto the train.

"Mum and dad have been begging Percy to come back you know, well more mum than dad." Ron said opening one of the side door that led onto the train and stepping on. "I highly doubt he will come, Fred and George have a bet going on."

"This is nothing to joke about Ron, you know how upset your mum gets when he doesn't come". Hermione replied as we walked along the train trying our best to find an empty compartment.

We soon found one and shuffled inside of it. Ron and Hermione sat down on one side, after placing my backpack on the shelf above the seats I sat down opposite them.

"It's gonna be a long journey, were taking the car apparently".

"The car?" I remarked.

"Yep, dads learning how to drive they say it will be a good use of time. Apparently 'road trips' are what muggles like to do, anyway it's a bloody miracle that the ministry lent him another car seeming as we wrecked the last." Ron said with a straight face until he finally couldn't keep his laughter in anymore.

An hour had past and the sun started to set making everything that was once visible outside the window had become dark silhouettes. A little light turned on in our compartment. Ron was resting his head against the window, looking like he was half in and out of sleep. Hermione was reading a book and occasionally looking out of the window. I was writing a letter, not to Mrs Weasley as Hermione had formally suggested but to Sirius. I had told Hermione that I wanted to write letter to him and tell him everything that was going on even though he would never get to read them. Hermione though reluctant to admit that my idea was a little better than hers was very in favour of it as she announced what a good way it was to get things off my chest and write about my emotions.

The letters weren't very long, usually half a piece of parchment. In the letter I was currently  writing I was talking about Ginny and the room of requirement. She had consumed my thought yet again, last night I hadn't gone to sleep because she was all I could think about. Once done, I folded the piece of parchment and tucked it away into my backpack.

Sleep had caught up with me now and I was starting to feel very tired, Ron had already passed out and by the looks of it Hermione herself couldn't keep her eyes on her book. I was unsure if Ginny had said anything to anyone about last night I knew she had gotten a lot closer with Hermione, but Hermione hadn't said anything to me which made me slightly relieved.

The train pulled into the station, I had fallen asleep in the last hour but waking up slightly I saw that Ron and Hermione were wide awake and were getting their bags down from the shelf above.

"Harry, Harry! You up yet", Hermione softly said as she began to shake me lightly.

I was awake but only just, I hadn't realised how tired I actually was. The train had stopped and there was a lot of noise. The train instructor was shouting, trunks were being thrown out of the far end of the train, students were screaming out of the windows trying to get the attention of their parents. It was all very disconcerting.

"Ron get his bag", Hermione said now taking my hands and pulling me up.

I was starting to wake up now and was able to steady myself. Taking my bag from Ron, we walked down the aisle and off the train onto the station which was packed. We walked around a bit trying to find Mr and Mrs Weasley until Hermione spotted them in the corner. We made our way towards them.
