Harry's POV
"So how is Miss Weasley then Potter", Draco shouted across the lawn. I was by myself and had only gone across the lawn to avoid being late for potion class. "I thought one Weasley was enough, obviously I was wrong." He laughed.
"Shut up", I muttered under my breath, trying my best to ignore him. I carried on walking across the lawn. He suddenly spirited in front of me blocking my path. "I hope you didn't just tell to shut up Potter". The smirk that been on his face had quickly been wiped away.
"I'm not interested", I said looking him straight in the eyes. "I'm not asking", he replied. I could feel his friends eyes watching us from across the lawn. "You don't want to reenact what happened in the bathroom a couple months ago do you?" I asked my eyes widened making me look sort of savage. He turned slightly red and violently whispered "be quiet".I continued. "I remember it ending with you on the floor covered in blood, I would be happy to do it again". He had turned slightly pale, it looked as though I was starting to scare him.
I looked down. My fists had been clenched and my nails had dug themselves so hard into my palm that they were now bleeding. I opened it revealing the blood and stretched it out before his face allowing a drop to fall onto his nose. He backed away, swearing as he wiped it off. Ginny who I hadn't seen enter the lawn till she was at my side, took me by the hand and guided me away into a corridor. I heard Draco shouting "freak" as we left.
"Harry what were you doing?" She asked opening up my hand and wiping the blood away with a tissue.
"I don't know", I replied. I was in a trance. I thought everything that had just happened might have been a dream or perhaps part of my imagination.
"Harry, look at me." She said loudly shaking me awake. Those that were late for lessons and still dwalding about in the corridor suddenly turned their heads towards us.
"You can't do that Harry. It not right, people are going to start thinking your mad." She looked worried. "He could go to Snape you know, Draco. You would get in trouble".
I didn't care if I got in trouble but I nodded. I didn't want her to worry about me. "I'm sorry" I said weakly. "It won't happen again, he just makes me so angry." I felt like a child saying these things to her. I felt sorry of her, why did she have to put with me, I was nothing but a burden.
She shook me again and then kissed me on the cheek. "Promise me Harry", she said staring me in the eyes. "Promise me, you won't do that again". I promised and eventually we parted ways.
A while later:
It was now near midnight and Gryffindor was having their astrology lesson in the astrology tower. Ron, Hermione and I were lying down next to each other trying to make out the constellations above us.
Ron and Hermione were finally friends again, slightly more than friends. I had seen the way they looked at each other. Ron had dumped Lavender Brown because he was sick of being around her, I couldn't help but feel sorry for her she was hopelessly in love with Ron. However, Hermione didn't feel the same.
"Hang on, I think that capricornus", Ron said taking Hermione's hand and pointing to the stars that when connected made the sign. He was right and she looked impressed.
"I'll draw it." She said excitedly, sitting up and grabbing a piece of parchment paper that lay next to her. "Have you got any Harry", she asked now turning towards me.
I hadn't been looking at the stars instead I had been lying on my back watching Ginny who had been placed far away from our group. She had just gotten up and walked down the stairs, I was wondering where she was going.
"Harry", Hermione said again louder this time.
"Yeah, sorry. I haven't found any yet", I replied sitting up.
"Go follow her", Hermione suddenly said. "I'll cover for you if anybody asks where you've gone."
I thanked her, got up and started to descend down the stairs Ginny had taken only a minute ago. The stairs led to a secondary tower that wasn't quite as high as the one we had just been on but still high enough so we could see all the land that surrounded Hogwarts. Ginny was standing on the ledge leaning against the barrier, her hair blowing behind her by the wind.
I came up besides her and placed my hand on hers.
"It's scary isn't it?" She said quietly, more to herself than me.
"What is?" I asked in return. I thought she might of been referring to how high up we were.
"The world", she answered. A single tear had started to run down her face, I realized this was the first time I had ever seen her cry. "Nothing ever stays the same does it. Everything always changes so quickly".
She went on but I wasn't listening. Just taking her in. She was painfully beautiful. Perhaps it was her sly witty humour, or her unruly red hair, or simply just her presence that made me adore her. Just being close to her made me forget everything wrong with the world, everything wrong with me. My heart would ache whenever she called my name reminding me that she was real, we were real, that I wasn't dreaming.
"My love for you isn't going to change", I said softly taking both of her cheeks in my hands and stroking them softly.
She looked into my eyes. "You mean that?"
"I love you Gin", I whispered kissing her lips. She smiled and whispered it back.
