Harry's POV
A week had passed since I had asked Ginny to be my girlfriend. I felt it had been one of the best weeks of my life. I was in a constant state of ecstasy. We had been together all week both skipping lessons, missing meals, skiving quidditch practise all so we could be alone together. My favourite spot to hang out with her was down by a little stream near the dark forest. There we would sit for hour; talking, laughing, kissing, rolling around on the grass, clasing each other, splashing one another with water until it got dark and we were forced to retreat back to the castle.
When I woke up she would be the first person I would see and when I went to bed she would be the last person I thought about. Her smile and contagious laugh were quickly ingrained into my mind, so at night when we were apart I could relive everything we had done together during the day. I had barely seen anyone the entire week not even Hermione or Ron.
It was now Friday. I was sitting next to Ron in double potions, where we were suppose to be making a draught.
"Is Hermione not supposed to be here?" I asked looking around realising that she wasn't in the room.
"Don't ask me, she hasn't been coming to classes for days", Ron muttered back chopping up something he was hiding.
"Days!" I exclaimed. "Where has she gone? Is she ill?"
"I don't think so. I was in the hospital wing this morning and she wasn't there."
"Why were you in the hospital wing?"
"I was bringing flowers to someone actually."
"Flowers?" I smirked.
"What's wrong with flowers?" He said now turning towards me looking all of a sudden panicked.
"Nothing is wrong with flowers." I reassured him. "I'm just wondering who you were bringing them to?"
"Lavender of course", he answered as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"Whos that?" I asked stirring the potion which had now turned a funny orange colour.
He didn't reply so I turned to see if he had heard me. He was staring at me.
"Lavender." He paused "My girlfriend Harry." He said annoyed.
"Girlfriend!" I exclaimed dropping the knife I had holding and accidentally cutting myself. Blood started gushing out. I picked up a paper towel on the desk to cover it and stop the blood. "When did this happen?"
"It has only been a couple of day", he passed me another towel. "What have you been doing living under a rock?"
I didn't answer I could feel myself blushing. "Well, how is she?" I continued not wanting it to get awkward.
"Amazing. She a great kisser, we do it all the time you know. After a while my lips get sore and chapped, are they supposed to do that." He said trying to show me his lips.
I shoved him away. "No, that's disgusting." I replied laughing.
"Well lets see yours then", he leaned forward inspecting my lips before loudly saying, "how are yours like that? There fine." I laughed again. "It's the kissing, it every second I'm telling you it wearing me down. Your not kissing Ginny every second are you? He said the last sentence looking at the floor and quietly.
"No", I replied back even quieter, before smiling.
The lesson was over and I quickly headed back to the dormitory so I could change my shirt. My conversation with Ron had made me extremely sweaty and hot. I ran up the stairs and into the dormitory where I threw my bags and books to the side. I quickly pulled my jumper off and flung it to the side before slowly starting to unbutton my shirt.
"Harry."
I jumped. I hadn't seen anyone in here. I looked to where the voice has come from. Sitting on my bed was Hermione.
"Jesus Hermione," my voice was loud she had scared me. "Next time give me a warning." I continued trying my best to do up the buttons on my shirt by failing to do so because my hands were shaking.
"Sorry", she muttered. I sat down next to her on my bed. Being closer to her I saw that her eyes were bloodshot and tears stained her cheeks.
"Hey, what happened", I said softly taking her hand.
She turned to me and looked me the eyes. "It's nice seeing you so happy you know," tears slowly started rolling down her cheeks.
I smiled placing my arm around her so she could nestle into me. Her head was now laying on my bare chest. "It won't last", I said stroking her hair. Her tears had now fallen down my stomach now . She nodded trying to wipe them away.
I knew that Ron had upset her by going out with Lavender. I don't know what had happened between them before that but I felt angry at myself for not being there for Hermione. She was always there for me. We stayed like that was a couple of minutes. Tears pouring down her cheeks onto my chest as I stroked her hair and comforted her the best I could.
She lifted her head off my chest and turned to look at me once more. For a moment I thought she was looking at my lips. Her eyes were open and suddenly she began to slowly lean in. Her lips were only a fraction away from my own. I was too shocked to move my head, but I did, only seconds before her lips would have been planted on mine. Once seeing that I had turned my head to the side she pulled away instantly leaping from me, now she was sitting on the edge of the bed.
"Harry, I'm so sorry". She cried out loud. It was the first time I had properly seen her this upset. "I don't know what is wrong with me."
"It's alright", I said sitting up and rubbing her back.
"You know I would never. I could never do that to Ginny." I nodded reassuring her. I knew she would never want to hurt Ginny or jeopardize our friendship.
"I better go", she said now standing up and wiping away any remaining tears. "How do I look?" She looked tired and broken. Her hair looked as if it hadn't seen a brush in days. Her eyes were still red and puffy and had dark bags under them. "Beautiful". I answered before she left.
It was now the evening. I hadn't seen Ginny all day and I was getting impatient so I headed up to her dormitory. I didn't bother knocking on the door.
"Gin," I shouted.
"Harry!" She replied. She was sitting on her bed. Her hair was slightly damp she must have just gotten out of the shower.
I smiled before diving onto her bed and kissing her hard. She pulled away but not instantly. She was blushing hard, her face had turned a very deep red. She coughed a little and I watched her eyes skirt around the room. I turned around, behind me were two girls sitting on the two other beds that made up the room.
"Oh hi", I said awkwardly.
One laughed but another greeted me back. They were not the girls I had seen with Ginny on her birthday. They were two new ones.
"This is Rose", she said pointing to the one that had laughed a little. "And that is a Elizabeth, they share this dormitory with me Harry." She continued now turning back towards me.
"Right, yeah sorry I didn't realise."
Elizabeth stood turned around and started looking for something. It looked as if she was about to leave. I wanted them to move quicker. "Close the curtains," I whispered in Ginny's ear. She laughed.
"I can't just shut them", she whispered back. Elizabeth had collected a couple books in her arm.
"Rose, you coming?" She asked over her shoulder as she grabbed the door handle. Rose continued to sit there.
"Where?" She asked.
I didn't get to hear the response. I had decided to close the curtains surrounding Ginny's bed myself. I had taken out my wand and said the spell quietly . Ginny had realised what I had done too late, but before she could protest my lips were on hers.
