Breakup

We ended up talking all night. Turns out there was an endless amount of things that he had done to upset them as well as me. I even started adding to it and by the time morning broke I was furious. The girls were really fueling the fire and I have to say I loved that they did.

"He's such a scumbag. I can't believe I've been letting him treat me so badly. We've literally been here from sunset to sunrise and still aren't even through all the fucked up shit he's done to me in not even two full months!"

"He's honestly awful and I'm not just saying that because of how he treats my family. He really just isn't a good guy at all." Ginny said from where she was laying on the floor. I had been pacing for the last hour, too mad to sit still.

"I'm going to do it. I'm going to break up with him. How pathetic and desperate I've been for love to think that's what he's been showing me?!" I exclaimed.

"You weren't pathetic or desperate. You just wanted to make things work."

"No, I was desperate. So desperate for male approval and love that I went with someone who was treating me horribly just for the attention. Maybe I've got daddy issues?"

"Maybe you do but that is a problem for another day, love." Hermione said. "Besides I don't think you do. You've had a loving father figure your whole life so that can't be it."

"Just stupid then?"

"Maybe a little." Ginny joked. "I'm kidding you're not stupid. Just..I don't know stuck maybe."

"Well I'm really sick of being stuck."

"Then do something about it!" Hermione said getting excited.

"I'm so scared!" I yelled.

"Why?"

"I'm starting over completely! That's scary! It's a big change to go from Draco's girlfriend to just nothing!"

"You're not going to nothing. You're going from Draco's girlfriend to (Y/n). You going to your own person. That's a good change."

"I just don't even know who I am alone anymore."

"We've seen you with him and alone." Luna said standing up and coming to me. "With Draco you're small, scared, upset, silenced. Alone you're sweet, kind, fun!"

"Beautiful, smiley, smart." Ginny added.

"Funny and full of life." Hermione joined.

"You're so much better on your own. You're going to flourish without worrying about him. He's holding you back and holding you down so you don't outshine him, because darling, you do outshine him always."

"I don't outshine him. I'm lucky someone like him would stoop to be with me."

"No! That's what he wants you to think. This is how he's trapping you!" Ginny exclaimed. "He makes you think no one would ever want you so that you stay with him! He wants to keep you but doesn't want to put in any effort to do so! He's beat you down so that you won't go anywhere while he cheats and treats you like rubbish!"

"Gin calm down." I said calmly.

"No you have to see what's happening!"

"I know what's happening! You guys have really opened my eyes today. I know what's going on."

"So what are you going to do about it?"

"I'm going to break up with him." I mumbled.

"What was that?"

"I'm going to break up with him!" I yelled at the top of my lungs earning cheers from the girls. "I'm going to leave him and finally be free from his manipulation and abuse."
