It was only a week until the ball and we found ourselves in Hogsmeade. We were all buying Christmas gifts except for me, I needed a new dress. To say I was panicking was an understatement.

"Darling I don't understand why you don't just wear the one you already have." Fred whined when I tried to leave him to go with the girls.

"Because that dress was made exactly for Draco's liking. He had his stylist make what he wanted to see me wear. He's never seen it and I don't want him to see me in it. I want to wear a dress for you that hopefully you'll like."

"Okay I agree. Don't wear the Draco dress. Get something you love though. I'll like anything, as long as you're confident and feel beautiful I will like it."

"You guys are bloody gross!" Ron yelled pulling his brother away.

"I'll meet up with you soon!"

"You better. I'll be bored as anything with Ron." He yelled back.

The group all left except for Hermione and I. Everyone else was good to go so they were going shopping while Hermione got her dress fitted one last time and I found mine. The two of us walked over to the dress shop. When we walked in a warm rush of air hit my cold face.

"Hello ladies! What can I help you with today?" the owner, Mrs. Lemongrass greeted us from behind dresses. "Oh Miss Granger! Miss (y/l/n)! So nice to see you."

"You might not find it so nice to see me actually."

"What do you mean by that?"

"I need a new dress."

"Oh my Merlin..We barely have any time!"

"I know I'm so sorry."

"Never mind that. Miss Granger let's get you into your dress to fit it. You. Go look around and see what I have." She said pointing to me.

I looked around for a while at all the different colours. I stayed away from Orange and Yellow, knowing those colours wouldn't look good against Fred's red hair. I had worked my way through the reds, purples, and greens with no luck. I was starting to lose hope when Mrs. Lemongrass came back out to help.

"Tell me what the young man looks like. What will he be wearing?"

"Um he's a Weasley. He has a black suit with some white frills on it."

"Okay red hair. I'd definitely say to look in the blues if you haven't found anything you liked in the other colours. I'm afraid we don't have time to make one custom."

"Thanks."

"Is there anything you're looking for in particular that could make this search easier?" Hermione asked helping the search.

"I want poofy. I really like tulle. Lots of tulle would be ideal."

"Sleeves?"

"Yes if possible."

I tried on a million dresses and none of them made sense. None of them looked as nice on me as they did on the hanger. I was starting to lose hope. I was so convinced I would never find a new dress that I almost started crying in the change room until I heard Mrs. Lemongrass call out.

"Darling this is it! I feel it in my heart."

"(y/n) this dress is gorgeous. You're going to love it." Hermione added.

"Okay send it in." the dress floated over the door, landing in front of me. I couldn't even tell what the dress looked like in here. The room being so cramped and there being so much tulle pooled at my feet. I put it on none the less and walked out to look in the big mirror.
