In The Dark

The Night Before

*FLASHBACK ALERT*
(Just to the night before so dw)

Dan slowly shut the lid of his laptop and watched as the glow of the apple faded away, plunging the room into complete darkness. He titled his head towards the window, it was dark outside. The time on his bedside clock read 23:58pm, he'd been online for hours. His head hurt, and to be honest, so did the rest of his body. Dan let out a groan as the fight came flooding back into his memory. The things he had said, the way that he had screamed at Phil...
He placed his heavy head in his hands and felt moisture gathering between his fingertips. Dan clawed at his cheeks, he couldn't be crying, he just couldn't. Dan hated the way Phil got to him like this, the way that he climbed into his brain and scratched away at his emotions.
Dan jerked his head up at the sound of someone clearing their throat... Phil.He watched as the door creaked open a crack and a lock of dark, black hair flopped round the door."Dan? Are you awake?" Phil's voice was croaky, he had been crying too.
"We're internet kids, we never sleep." Dan replied. He was physically unable to stay mad at Phil for too long. Phil smirked and poked his head further round the door.
"In?" he asked with an uncertain smile.
"In" whispered Dan. Phil opened the door further and slowly closed it behind him. Dan tapped the space on the bed next to him. 
Phil sat and grinned as he felt Dan's warm arms pull him closer. Dan laughed as he grabbed Phil's wrist and leant closer to place a kiss on his lips. Phil froze then wriggled back into Dan's warm body. He wrapped his arms around Phil and they lay there for a while, embracing each others warmth and smell of aftershave and hair dye. Phil shuffled up the bed so that both their heads were next to each other. Dan gazed over at Phil and pulled him closer."I'm sorry..." he whispered into a jumble of black hair."Don't be" said Phil, and they lay there, in the dark, together.
