"What does that mean?"
Haeun was confused. The tattoo had hurt the whole time, so why did it stop just now?

Haeun finally showed Dr. Min her wrist.

His hand carefully grabbed the hand of Haeun and turned it so that he could examine the soulmate tattoo on her wrist.
"I don't see where this is supposed to be red, Miss Oh."

"What do you mean?"
Haeun pulled back her arm to look at her wrist.

Indeed, the circle wasn't pulsating in the unnatural blood red colour anymore.

Haeun should have been glad about that, shouldn't she?

Her tattoo had stopped to hurt and was back to its usual black colour. However, what disturbed the twenty-one-year-old was the fact, that her tattoo had shifted. Instead of only the circle there were two black ovales that formed a ring around her circle.
With a bit fantasy it looked like the planet Saturn.

"What is it, Haeun?"
Haera moved uncomfortably in her seat. When nobody answered her, she grabbed her daughter's arm by herself. Ignoring the painful whine that slipped out of Haeun's mouth, Oh Haera looked at the shifted soulmate tattoo in pure horror.

"It needs to get removed."

"No." Haeun shook her head and freed her wrist from her mother's tight grip. After a while it had hurt her more than the tattoo had for the last few months.

"You don't understand -", Haera started to speak again, but got interrupted by a fuming Haeun.

"No, you don't understand! I don't want to marry a chaebol heir and I also don't want to remove this tattoo! I have been trying to tell you that for the past week. Why don't you just let me live my own life?"
Haeun could see how her mother tried to stop her from speaking up, but the young woman had just started. She didn't care if her family got a bad reputation because of her.

"For the last ten years I tried really hard to be perfect for you. I got perfect results and you could show off your perfect daughter to your friends. That's all I was good for. You never really cared for me. If you did, you wouldn't have sent me away. If you would care about me, you would not want me to do this." Haeun gestured vaguely around herself when she said the last part.

She was pretty agitated, her cheeks glowing in an unnatural red. Her tears were threatening to break out.

Because Haeun didn't want to appear weak, she finally stood up, apologised to the doctor and then left without sparing her mother a last glance.

She needed space, time to think and a job.

How are we feeling about her little outburst?
