Old friend

jughead's trailer was being battered by the storm that night when the girl slipped out of his bed without him seeing her again. Today was pretty much the same weather. He ran into the warmth of Riverdale high nervous to flee from the rain.
It was a rare occurrence but he managed to walk to the student lounge without bumping into a single soul. Then he noticed. That's because the were crowding the student lounge. Jughead fought to get this way through the crowds and finally found himself at the centre. His heart practically stopped.
"Oh jug this is the new girl char-"
"Cherry?" She looked up at him with a smile on her red lips.
"Hey jug. Been a while." Everyone looked at him in pure confusion he chuckled to himself looking from her to his girlfriend, to his friends.
"Can I erm..." he grabbed her wrist pulling her through the crowd and into a near by classroom although it didn't stop the boys trying to get her attention. "What are you doing here cherry?" She smiled sitting herself on a desk.
"You're the only person who's ever called me that you know jug." He scoffed to himself looking around.
"Did you tell Betty?" She shook her head.
"She thinks we're old friends from camp when we were kids." He nodded rubbing his face.
"So what happened. Things with your boyfriend go crazy again?" He came to sit next to her in a moment of calmness.
"Family trouble I'm here with my cousin. My dad kinda.... it's not important. But I'm here til further notice." Jughead gave a nod and put an arm around her.
"I missed you cherry." She smiled as the bell rang.
"You too. But I gotta go Betty and Veronica are demanding that they show me around and help so..."
"Oh god, don't let them drag you into their crazy." She laughed walking out of the room to find them.
Jughead sat for a moment looking down at his fists shaking his head.
"Shit."

"You're home?" Charlotte walked in putting her bags down looking for some clothes in a box.
"Yeah. School day is shorter here. I made some friends so I'm going to meet them."
"Cousin remember we have to keep a low profile." She came to look over his shoulder at the book he was reading.
"Have you heard anything yet Ambrose?" He huffed shaking his head. Ambrose turned to her as she held the locket that was hung around her neck.
"Nicholas will be alright cousin... you will see him soon enough." She smiled a little nodding.
"Alright Ambrose... I'll see you later okay?" He cleared his throat sitting up straight.
"Home by 10 or you're grounded." He smiled a little "is that right?" The two of them laughed and she gave him a hug.
"Later Ambrose!" She shouted walked out the door. She said a quick spell and her clothes had changed completely.

"Archie! You can wait two seconds! She'll be here any minute" the bell rang in pop and Charlotte walked in and over to them.
"Hi guys." They all said high and the boys were sent to order while Veronica looked at Charlotte.
"So Charlotte... any cute guys in Greendale."
"Ronnie!" Better laughed and Charlotte laughed.
"Trust me... they're something else...."
"Got a boyfriend?" Charlotte smiled giving a nod. "Details girl!" Veronica demanded, Charlotte smiled for a moment thinking about him.
"Well... his name is Nick... we go to the same privet arts school... he tall dark and handsome... he's the sweetest most romantic....  he calls me lottie... he's always been there I'd like to think he will be until my last breath...." she zoned out at Veronica's squeals of excitement.

"Lottie you have to go"
"No nicky I'm not leaving you!"
"Lottie if you don't leave right now he will kill us all. Ambrose take her"
"NICK NO! Nick! NICKY!"

She was snapped back by a milkshake placed in front of her.
"So Charlotte do you have a picture of this irresistible boy of yours." She smiled unclipping the locket revealing a picture of nick and the other side held one of Sabrina. "Oh my god! Betty look! He's beautiful!" The girls started to gush. However, the boys didn't look to impressed.
"Okay okay. Girls come on you have boyfriends right here." They laughed when Charlotte's phone buzzed.
"Shit. I've got to go." She got up walking out of pops and got in her car.
"What was that about?" Archie frowned and the girls watched out the window.
"I'm not sure..." said jughead already lost in his thoughts.

"AMBROSE!" She raced into the house stopping in the doorway.
"Prudence...."
"It's worse than we thought Charlotte..."
