The shaking stopped as the TARDIS landed where the signal had taken them. Dean slumped on the steps, still gripping the railing, and groaned.
"Is he alright?" The Doctor asked.
"He doesn't like flying." Sam said.
"Well that can't have been fun." The Doctor said. He reached into his jacket, deeper than his pockets should have been, and pulled out a small, brown pill bottle.
"Here you go, fixes any form of motion sickness faster than you can say Bob's your uncle." He tossed the bottle to Dean, who just managed to catch it. He read the label suspiciously.
"I only just met you and now you want me to take some random pills?" He asked, still white knuckling the railing. The Doctor rolled his eyes and said,
"Fine, don't take them. Just don't get sick all over my TARDIS." He started towards the doors, Dean sighed and took two pills and put the bottle in his jacket. The Doctor placed his hand on the handle but didn't open the door. Sam and Dean walked up behind him, Dean already looking much better, Sam asked
"What's out there?" The Doctor turned to them and said
"I'm not sure. There could be nothing outside these doors, or it could be something very dangerous. Just stay behind me and be prepared." Sam nodded and The Doctor turned back to the door. He quickly pulled them open, cold air rushed in. Sam laughed and they stepped outside.
"This is amazing!" Sam breathed. Dean raised his eyebrows.
"It's a street." He said, unimpressed. The Doctor ran off to inspected their surroundings. They stood between two stone buildings, next to some bins, the street a few yards away.
"But it's still amazing!" Sam insisted. "We've moved! We're somewhere completely different. It's even day now!" The two looked up to the clouds. Although it was clearly early morning, they couldn't see an inch of sky. The dark clouds suggested coming rain.
"Great!" Dean said sarcastically. "Where ever we are it's got crappy weather." The Doctor ran up to them and said
"This is wrong, we must be in the wrong place."
"Yeah, no kidding!" Dean said. "Didn't you say you were following that bird thing, shouldn't it be here?"
"Not the Armales, the portal." He corrected. "There must have been multiple exits, instead of ending up in their ship, we're here!"
"And where is here?" Dean asked. The Doctor licked his finger and held it up to the wind, as if that would tell him their location. Miraculously, he said
"London, central London. Yep, sounds right, smells right!" He said, breathing in through his nose, "That good old London air." It didn't smell like anything to Sam. Dean went to look around, and Sam asked The Doctor,
"We're actually in London?"
"Yes." He replied, disappointed.
"What's wrong?" Sam asked.
"Well, London's great and all, personally I love it, but it's a dead end. Same planet, same time, nowhere closer to finding the Armales!"
"Same time?" Sam asked. "But it's day, it was ten at night before."
"It's ten at night there. Here it's," he checked his gold wristwatch. "Nearly seven am." Sam laughed, taking in his surroundings, even though his surroundings were just an empty alley.
"Is this your first time out of America, Sam?" The Doctor asked.
"Uh, no." He replied. "A while ago Dean and I went to Scotland on a case, not for long, but still. The trips there and back were horrible though, Dean is the worst flier." The Doctor's eyes widened.
"Oh, that's right," he said. "Dean, can I have that pill bottle back?" He called. Dean didn't answer. "Dean?" He called again. The two looked over to where Dean was looking at a flyer on the wall. They went over to him and Sam read it over his shoulder.
"Kimberley Anne. Last seen Dec 22nd, 2011." There was a picture of a girl that looked about 25, with short red hair and rich brown eyes.
"I think this is connected to Carson City." Dean said.
"Are you sure?" The Doctor asked.
"Well, missing people in the same town as weird portals and angry metal birds from space, yep, I think it's a lead." He said.
"Doc, what day is it?" Sam asked. The Doctor checked his watch and said
"January fifth, 2012." They all looked at the flyer, then each other.
"Two weeks ago." They said in unison. As if on queue, three police cars went speeding down the street, sirens blazing. The Doctor ran out onto the street, with the brothers in tow, and followed the lead that had just drove past.
