By the time Chaeyoung arrived in front of  Room 29, her cheeks were flushed and she was out of breath from the run.

High heels were a bad idea but who would have known there would be a traffic so terrible that Chaeyoung had to abandon the taxi she was riding and ran for fifteen minutes to get to the restaurant on time because she wasted an hour in that damn traffic?

Taking out her phone for the substitute as a mirror, Chaeyoung took in her appearance. Some sweat on her forehead and a few strands of hair had escaped from her high ponytail. But other than that, she was fine.

She took out a piece of tissue to wipe the sweat off and put on some perfume on her brown coat. Even though it was going to be brother she would be meeting on the other side of the door and not a date, she didn't want to look like she just ran a marathon.

Chaeyoung opened the door and let herself in without even knocking, knowing full well who was waiting for her. Or at least, she thought she did.

The room was dark when she entered and Chaeyoung wasn't fazed by it. Jimin liked surprises.
Just as she expected ,as soon as the door clicked shut, lights came to life and confetti exploded.

"Surprise!Happy Birthday! What? You are not Tara." A voice that was definitely not her brother's said.
Chaeyoung's eyes widened and when the confetti cleared out, she finally managed to look at the owner of the feminine voice.

Whoa, she's gorgeous was the first thought that came to her mind. Followed by the Rosie, now is not the time to check her out!

"What are you doing here?"Chaeyoung asked earning a disbelief look from the dark haired girl in front of her.
"Excuse me,I should be asking you that.I booked this room."She gestured to the room filled with pink balloons in the corner, a cake and a neatly wrapped present on the table.

Chaeyoung frowned. "No, my brother did."She unzipped her purse and swiftly went to the texts exchanged between her and Jimin on her phone. Where was her brother, anyway?

She stole a quick glance at the stranger as she scrolled through the messages. The girl didn't appear to be Korean but she did spoke perfect Korean. She looked like she's Thai so Chaeyoung concluded she was Thai.
She was about to thrust out her phone screen for the girl to see that this was the room Jimin reserved for them when-

"Oh shoot."Chaeyoung muttered. Jimin said Room 92. Not Room 29. Oh no, she screwed up."I am so sorry."
She said, looking up from her phone and sincerely apologized. "I came to the wrong room. I am so sorry."

Chaeyoung received a sigh as a response.
"It's fine. You made me waste my confetti for nothing though."
"Again, I am so sorry. And I have to leave now. My brother is waiting for me long enough. I have to go now. Bye. Again, sorry."She rambled and sprinted out of the room.

Not wanting to repeat the same mistake, this time she double checked the gold engravings on the door. Room 92.
She even knocked first and only went in when it was Jimin's voice inside the room.
Chaeyoung rushed in and was greeted by the darkness once again.

The only source of light was from the flames on a candle in the middle of the room.
Then the lights flickered on and her brother Jimin exclaimed "Happy Birthday!" with a big smile on his face.

Chaeyoung grinned and dashed over to the table to engulf her big brother in a hug.
"Aww, thank you. I missed you."
The Park siblings rarely got to meet each other these days. With Jimin being busier at the hospital by getting a promotion and Chaeyoung busy with her paintings for an upcoming arts event at one of the most famous galleries in the city.
