Room 29

Chaeyoung buried her head in her arms out of embarrassment after Lisa finished her story.
She remembered now. Every single thing.

And to say she was embarrassed would be an understatement.

"Oh my god. I can't believe I-oh my god."Chaeyoung's muffled voice was heard.
"Yeah, we had quite an adventure." Lisa chuckled, taking a small bite out of the slice of cheesecake.

The two were sitting at the kitchen counter eating one of the cakes Chaeyoung bought from the bakery for late lunch.

"Lisa. I am so sorry. I was drunk and I-" Chaeyoung looked up and started to ramble but Lisa put her palm up.

"No, don't apologize. Because I was fully onboard with your plans and it was fun." Lisa said.

Chaeyoung sighed in relief. Then it hit her that the girl sitting next to her is her girlfriend.
Wow, her confidence to ask a girl out really skyrocketed when she got drunk.

"So,umm, I asked to be your girlfriend..." Chaeyoung said, tentatively bringing it up.
"And I said yes..."

"Why though?" Chaeyoung asked, genuinely confused. It must be because she was drunk, Chaeyoung concluded. Okay,they both were drunk but still...

And another thing that got the blonde wondering was why she couldn't have just pretend to be Lisa's girlfriend instead of actually being one.

Because you're totally crushing on her!
Her brain exclaimed.
No, I'm not! Also her brain argued back.
Pfft.
Okay, fine. Maybe a little.

"Why? Maybe because...",Lisa played with the crumbles of the cake with her fork," you are funny, adorable and pretty. "

Chaeyoung willed her heart to calm down after Lisa's little confession. Out of all the reasons, she certainly wasn't expecting that.

"And what about you?" Lisa asked, propping her elbow on the
marble counter. Placing her chin on her fist, she faced Chaeyoung and asked boldly. Chaeyoung saw a mischievous glint in the other girl's eyes.

"Well, I-umm," Chaeyoung fiddled with her thumbs. "Because you know so Tara would know that you moved on.."
"And is that all?" Lisa asked and Chaeyoung's stomach flipped when there was a hint of sultry in that tone.

"Come on, Rosie." Lisa playfully bumped Chaeyoung's shoulder.

"Because you are kind, thoughtful and gorgeous!" Chaeyoung exclaimed.

Lisa genuinely looked surprised and Chaeyoung realized Lisa was just teasing her earlier. The blonde mentally groaned.

"Really?"
"Well,yeah..." Chaeyoung shyly admitted.

"Oh..."

The two just stared at their half eaten cakes until Lisa spoke again.

"Rosie, look..."
Here it comes.Lisa was going to break up with her. Chaeyoung braced herself. After all, Lisa was drunk too when she agreed to be her girlfriend and now she was sober so there was no way-

"I like you. It hasn't even been twenty fours since we known each other but that doesn't matter. I like you but the thing is I just got out of a relationship. A relationship where the spark had died for some time now but still it was a relationship."

"And even though back at that karaoke you said to not consider you a rebound and you won't consider yourself a rebound..."

"I get it." Chaeyoung said." We both agreed on not acknowledging me as a rebound but I'm still basically a rebound."
