Tsuk-, no she is called Karma now, walk down a street that she had been down enough times to have memorized it. Karma hadn't always been blind. It was a bit of trouble trying to walk around with Toga to memorize her path. She wondered if she would get better at memorizing places as she got more used to not having sight. She started messing with the zip up hoodie that she had been reassured that the red side was the one that was showing. She was chewing in the strings that she couldn't remember the color of. The jacket was actually a gift that was given to her from one of her previous foster parents. She at least treated Karma like a person which is more than she could say for most of her other foster parents over the years. Karma didn't know why she always found herself chewing on her jacket strings. As she was walking up to one of her turns making sure to keep her head down to keep herself from being recognized in case she had been reported missing which she doubted but as she has learned you can never be too careful. Karma started thinking about how she got to this point in her life. Karma remember how she was before everything went to shit on that fucked up day. Karma had been the daughter of the Pro-Hero CounterStrike. She remembered that she had had his yellowish-green eyes before they turn into the literal bleached white they were now from what she's been told. She also remembered that her mother had been a kind woman. She couldn't remember much past that about either of them but she remembered the day that they died vividly. They were all home together as it had been one of her father's days off then they heard a knocking at the door her father went to the door with a confused expression on his face when he saw who was there he quickly ran to Karma's mother and whispered something. Karma's mother went pale before picking the four year old Karma up and running to the kitchen. "Mommy what going on" "Nothing sweetheart we are just going to play a game of hide and seek with the person outside. Mommy's gonna give you the best hiding spot but you got to be very quiet." Karma looked excited as her mother opened the sink drawers and hid her under there. Karma shortly after heard the door break open. First she heard father's scream of pain and her mother's of rage. She couldn't hear what they were saying but she could hear that they were all fighting but then it stopped and only one pair of footsteps could be heard and it was neither of her parents. Karma now knew this really wasn't a game of hide and seek. Karma heard a man's voice that she didn't know. "Now where are you kid. I promise that if you just come out and save me the trouble of finding you, I'll let your death be painless." Karma whimpered as tears started to form in her eyes. Karma heard the man's footsteps getting closer before the cabinet doors got ripped open. Karma discovered her quirk at that moment. Karma's quirk caused solid black to jut out of the holes on her shoulders and impale the man that she could now see as having purple hair and black eyes with white pupils. She saw his blood covering the floor as he cough up blood and curses. He started trying to get responses from her but she was in to much shock to respond. Karma shook herself out of reminiscing on how she discovered her quirk. She realized that she had reached her destination. She had live there for 6 months before she became Karma. It was one of the worst houses she lived in. She remembered the quirk canceling cuffs they made her wear at home which is very dangerous for her since she has to constantly keep a thin protective layer to keep the sun or really any light from burning her skin. She also remembered the cigarettes that were put out on her. She remembered the beatings she got at school and that godforsaken house and how no one ever helped her even when she tried to get it. People always said the heroes would help but they were always to busy or didn't believe her. It pissed her off how heroes ignore people in trouble just because they wouldn't get on the news. She went up to the front door and released the gas version of the solid black substance from when she first got her quirk. She manipulated it to go under the door and used it to feel around. She could feel that they were in the living room her previous foster father asleep with three empty cans next to him. Her previous foster mother seemed to be on her way upstairs. Karma used her quirk to make a thin string of sludge that she could control and discreetly picked the lock and opened it without touching the door or making a sound. She closed the door with her foot. She had noticed the spot where she would have put her shoes before coming in before but ignored it now. She quietly walked into the living room and felt that her previous foster father was still asleep and now realized that her foster mother was upstairs in her room. Karma walk up to the sleep man and forced her sludge in his throat and lungs he woke up in the middle of this and said his last words but couldn't get his voice loud enough for anyone but Karma to hear. "Tsukiko- What do you think- your- do-ing?!" Karma smile a terrifying smile that no one could see behind her mask and said "My name is Karma now and I'm collecting your debt." She then made his throat burst. She was disappointed that she would never be able to see it but she happy to feel his blood on her. She then went upstairs making sure to be as quiet as possible as she made her way to her previous foster parents room. She felt around to feel exactly where the woman was and felt that she was folding clothes by the bed. Karma knew she wouldn't be able to sneak up on her once she was in in the room. Karma smirked at the thought of the woman screaming and trying to run for a phone. Little did she know Karma could kill them before she was even in the house if she really wanted to but she wanted to hear them scream the same ways they would try to make her. She never let them have the satisfaction. She made her way to the room and kicked the door open. Karma felt the woman jump and heard yell "Kubo Tsukiko! How dare you even touch that and where have you been for the last few months!-...wait where did all that blood come from?" Karma smile as she got the dark solid pole she was going to impale the woman and said "How about you ask your husband?" Before she could say anything back she was dead with the a gaping hole where her heart used to be. Karma then decided that since the neighbors most likely hadn't heard anything and wouldn't have called anyone that it would be a good idea to take a bath and try to clean her clothes and the door up a bit after she got some blood in vials that Toga had asked for. As Karma was taking her shower and letting her mask and clothes dry, she heard her phone that the league provided her with even though she was only a temporary member. She picked up and heard Toga's voice "Karma~, Have you finished your errand yet?! I missed you and you said that you would get me some blood." "Don't worry about me, I already finished and I got your blood too, I'm was just cleaning up a bit." "Cleaning up? You don't usually make a mess?" "Yeah things were a bit more personal this time I wanted to make sure the last thing they'd see would be me." "Ohhhh~ I can't wait to hear more~" "Yeah yeah sure let me finish cleaning myself up so I can get back to the bar faster." "Ok~bye~" Karma hung up and got out of the shower. Karma face was a bit flushed but she blamed it on the heat from the water and definitely not her one-sided crush. Karma got dressed in her now dried clothes and walked back down stairs to where she knew the heater was and with her gloved hand turned to heat up as high as possible. She then left the house pulled her hood up and left for the bar. Maybe if she was lucky Kurogiri let her have a drink after all this was something to celebrate.
~Timeskip to the news a week later~
"It seems the mysterious serial killer that goes by the name Karma has struck again. Though police and heroes still wonder if this is the same person as the normal behavior of Karma tend to be cold and calculated however in this case it was more angry and revenge-driven. On the victim of this crime they were a married couple by the names of Aki and Eiko Ahane that have fostered multiple children including their current one who is missing at the moment however it seems she has been missing for the past 3 months and from the search the police conducted they found evidence of the couple abusing the girl. Among the evidence that was found was multiple old stains of her blood, a pair of quirk canceling cuff that should never have been used on the child in question. Her quirk makes her very vulnerable when cancelled. This child's name is Kubo Tsukiko she is described as having long messy black hair and completely white eyes after an accident at school caused her to completely lose her sight. If anyone sees her please inform the number on the screen." Karma scoffed as she took a sip of the whiskey that Kurogiri gave her. "Oh now they care." Toga looked Karma and asked "Huh did she give you that errand? Do you know her? She's was kinda cute in that photo all bloodied up!!" Karma blush totally due to the alcohol and not because her crush gave her a compliment. "You could say that." Toga than looked between the pictures on the news and the girl currently chugging whiskey which made Kurogiri look genuinely concerned and scared for her. Toga's eyes widened as she realized why that errand was so personal for her. Karma seemed to realized that Toga figured her out and brought a finger to her lips. Toga then noticed that a lot about Karma suddenly made sense if she really was Kubo-Chan. Like how her and Dabi were always talking about how hero society is fucked up and how if she just woke up or after panic attacks, which were triggered by cigarette smoke, the sound of metal, and angry yelling. She would sometimes flinch away from touch or just leave for hours at a time. Toga let out a giggle and said "Karma~ I think you look cuter with shorter hair." Karma was thankful that Kurogiri was in the back and not in earshot of their conversation any more as she started blushing harder but now it really was partly because of the alcohol in her system "Thank- *hic* you." Toga started to wonder how it would feel to see Karma covered in her own blood or better yet how it would taste.
