(A/N: This is a story that place in an original universe that I am still working on. This universe has a lot of similarities to the one of My Hero Academia but that is because the character it's created around is originally a MHA oc. The world and characters will still go through many changes before I am comfortable making a real series on it.)

Powers showed up about 500 year ago. No ones know where they came from but the first one were similar to the monsters parents told their kids about to get them to behave. The first one was discovered in America. There isn't much known about him due to him quickly getting swept up by the American government. He was described as looking like a demon. It caused a huge controversy. Many thought of the people with these powers as 'harbingers of the apocalypse'. The powers got weaker with the next generation until the number of people with powers out numbered the ones without. People thought that powers would disappear again however powers have started getting stronger than ever before. However it is different from before. Before these abilities were powerful because of how versatile they were but now they are more specific. Powers ended up becoming a huge part of people's identity and place in society. Our story is not of one of the lucky ones who are born powerful and accepted but instead it of one who has to fight just to be able to have the smallest chance to be a hero. Her power is considered a dark one. Her peers were encouraged to beat the future 'villain'. Little did they know she's going end up a hero that would be known for generations to come.

A girl is shown asleep on the floor in a small space barely big enough to fit her curled up body. She's concerningly thin and small. She has long and tangled black hair. The little of her shoulders and back that can be seen show scared burns. There are many other scars littered across her body. Many of them being on top of each other. The door than opens to reveal Aki Akane. The man then kicked the girl in the stomach. "Get up you lazy piece of shit!" The girl's eyes flew open revealing them to be a yellowish green color. She scrambled away from the him.
Tsukiko's P.O.V
Tsukiko Kubo didn't speak to the man out of fear. She just got up and left to change into her school uniform. She hated the school uniform. She for as long as she could remember hated the feeling of skirts. It just felt so wrong. She of course was not allowed to where the male uniform. The school said "It would be inappropriate." Even if the school let her she doubted that her foster 'parents' would allow it. She has been here for 2 months at this point. She's surprised. The longest she's ever stayed at one place was 2 years. She liked the woman that had her for that long even if she broke her promise. She always fed her and never hit her which she didn't get anywhere else. She left the bathroom. She was grounded for getting into a 'fight' at school already so she knew better than to go to the kitchen and instead just left to get to school. She knew she was going to be early so she decided to loiter in the area for a while. She didn't have any money but it couldn't hurt to look around. She than felt a spike in the constant feeling of being watched. She turned around and noticed some was tailing her. She stared at the person. She could tell they have a masculine body type. They had a hood over their head not letting her get a look at their face. She decided that she had loitered enough and booked it for the school. She looked for the hooded figure that was following her. She saw them. They seemed like they were going to keep their distance for now. It creeped her out. Why was this person tailing her. She still couldn't make out their face. She had attempted to lose them multiple times while making her way to school but they didn't fall for any of them. The school gates weren't open yet but there was a few other students. Lucky for her these weren't the ones that would typically even go near her. She didn't realize that she let the hooded figure out of her sight and looked around for them. They weren't there. She didn't like that. She still felt the spike in the constant feeling of being watched that made her notice them. The school gates opened and they were allowed in. She went straight to her class hoping to be the first one their so hopefully she didn't have to clean death threats off her desk. She managed it and managed to make it to the end of school without anything too bad happening. It was when she was walking down the hall trying to keep her head down that she was grabbed and pulled into an extra classroom that almost never got any use. Her arms were held behind her back. She look behind her and recognized the boy. She didn't know him by name but she knew his power. It was called 'bind' it allowed him to make anything he touched act as though it were bound. He could also touch two objects and they would act as though they were bound together. Her hands were now bounded together but she continued to try to fight. She tried to use her bound fist to push them off her. It didn't work as she was out numbered two to one before she knew it her legs were also bound together. It was then she saw the 'bind' user's hand come close to her face. He put his hand on both her upper and lower jaw. Her mouth was bound shut. She didn't bother to try and fight like this. It would just bring more injuries than she could treat herself and she knew they wouldn't take her to the hospital after years of this. She then noticed one of them holding was holding a bottle of bleach. Tsukiko didn't have a good feeling about this. The one that was holding it put it down was he smirked at her. They then started beating her. She refused to cry or scream like they wanted her to. It's the only form of rebellion that she can do. She went on till both boys backed away from her. She wondered if they decided that she had enough but of course was proven wrong. They took the bleach from before. They pulled her up by her hair and held up. The boy that brought the bleach was laughing as he said "Good luck being a hero or villain while blind!" The bleach was poured into one eye. She started screaming. It burned. It hurt worse than when they left her to burn in the sun. It hurt worse than cleaning the death threats off her desk. More than when her favorite foster mother abandoned her. It wasn't fair. Tear formed in her eyes. It wasn't fair. Her tears and bleach ran down her face causing even more damage. It isn't fair. She actually managed to fight with the bindings on her wrist and knocked the boy with the bleach away from her. Both of the got spooked by her sudden will to fight. She still couldn't really move her legs or separate her wrist from each other so she couldn't really move and she still couldn't open her mouth to speak and she doubted that even if she could anyone would come to her aid. She was left alone with her thoughts until the quirk wore off. She never really felt alone. She always felt there was someone else there. It wasn't a bad feeling a lot of the time it felt like whoever or whatever it was was actually comforting her. It was odd and she questioned if she was just so starved for positive interaction that she made up an imaginary friend to give it to her. She could almost feel someone touching her even now. It felt like someone was running their fingers through her hair in a way you would expect from a parent or parental figure. It was nice. She closed her eyes and let herself rest.
~~~~~~~~~~Timeskip~~~~~~~~~
She woke up still on the floor of the abandoned classroom. She got up and noticed it was dark outside. Her foster parents were so going to kill her for staying out this late. Probably even accuse her of finally becoming a villain because according to everyone in her life that's all she could ever be. She didn't bother checking the door. It was most likely lock considering it was dark outside. She opened the window and jumped out landing safely. She started on her way to the house. As she was walking down the dark streets she questioned if it would be better to run away. It didn't seem like a bad option. She didn't even want to think of the beating that was waiting at the house and what would happen at school tomorrow. She hasn't even gotten the chance to check her current injuries. As Tsukiko was walking by a particular ally thinking about the pros and cons of running away, a hand reached out and grabbed her. She made a noise of surprise and tried to fight back however sadly for Tsukiko nothing in her life goes her way. She once again failed to fight back against an attacker. She knew she was physically weaker than even most kids her age but come on you would think she'd be sbetter at this by now. She turned back to see her attacker and saw it was the person who was following her before. She could see that they had short brown hair that threatened to cover one of his eyes. His skin was extremely pale almost like what she would expect from someone who lost way too much blood to be ok. His eyes went from orange on the top to yellow on the bottom. His pupils were slits not unlike a snake. He was wearing a black cloak over a black jacket with big yellow buttons. The collar of the jacket was up. He was wearing a dark red shirt underneath the jacket with lighter red letters. His pants were black. He was also wearing a silver cross around his neck. She tried getting out of his grip but he didn't let her. "Stop fighting back so this can be easier for both of us!" He then pulled a knife out of his cloak. Tsukiko was tortured to death that night. The murderer stood over the dead body he just killed. She was perfect for what he wanted to make. The council may hunt him down for this but once he finished there's no way in hell for them to even touch him. Something of the caliber he was going to make out of her was forbidden for a reason. He sunk his fangs into the child's neck. The others he turned were all on death doorstep which let him get away with amassing the army he has now. Tsukiko's eyes flew open. That wasn't normal. It was then the murderer realized he made a mistake and that it was too late to fix it. A sound of banging came from a cracked mirror someone left out in the ally. It started cracking more and then shattered. Something or someone came flying out of it.
