Raphtalia sat Jackson down in her office, as she sat herself down on the chair opposite him. "So what brings you to this island?" Raphtalia asked, as Jackson drank a warm cup of coffee that he brought with him. "It's like I said before. I just wanted to explore the world. Being stuck in my house 24/7 was getting old...And I just wanted to spread my wings and explore the world..." Jackson replied, as he smiled warmly at the Demi-Human commander of the Survey Corps. "I see..Anyway...I have someone who I would like to introduce you to. Yuno. Get in here real quick. I want to introduce you to the newest recruit." Raphtalia instructed, as a pink haired woman walked into the room, as she looked deep into Jackson's eyes while she was still walking into the room. "Ah. You must be Jackson. Commander Raphtalia told me all about you in a letter that was sent to me. My name is Yuno Gasai, and I am one of the Commanders of the survey corps. It is nice to finally meet you in person." Yuno commented, as she shook Jackson's hand. "I am the daughter of the war hero, Himeko Gasai..." Yuno revealed, as Raphtalia placed her hand on Yuno's shoulder. "Yuno's mother was eaten by a titan when she was 12 months old...It is very unfortunate, but I have made sure that Yuno was raised and protected by myself..." Raphtalia replied, as Yuno smiled at Jackson.
19 Years Ago...
Himeko Gasai stood on top of the main castle tower, as she observed the mindless titan horde approaching. "Raphtalia. Take Yuno and run. I will deal with these intruders." Himeko instructed, as Raphtalia picked the 1 year old sleeping Yuno up. "If I don't make it, then I want you to raise my daughter. Do this for me, and I will rest easy, knowing that Yuno is in the hands of somebody who I care about." Himeko said, as she rubbed Raphtalia's head, and she kissed the sleeping Yuno's forehead. "Goodnight, my little princess...Sweet dreams..." Himeko said, before she used her ODM gear to fight against the mindless titans. "Goodbye......Commander..." Raphtalia replied, as she began to run away from the battle, with Yuno in her arms.
"Right then....Let's get this over with..." Himeko said, as she began to slice through the napes of mindless titans. She had to delay the horde long enough for Yuno and Raphtalia to escape. After two whole hours of fighting, she was down to only 50 mindless titans, and she was in the home stretch now. Himeko flied towards the titans, but as she got closer, her right leg was bitten off, which sent her flying into the ground. "This is it.....Come on then....I await my death, titans..." Himeko said, as a mindless titan picked her up, and it crushed her head with its jaws, until there was nothing left. Himeko Gasai died to protect someone that she cherished, and that was all that mattered to her, in her final moments.
